\n \u201cMake it in America,\u201d \u201cBuy American,\u201d \u201cStand up for America\u201d: Those aren\u2019t President Trump\u2019s campaign talking points, but Joe Biden\u2019s.<\/p>\n

The Democratic candidate unveiled his economic platform Thursday, saying, \u201cWhen the federal government spends taxpayers\u2019 money, we should use it to buy American products and support American jobs.\u201d<\/p>\n

This, from the man who voted for NAFTA in 1993 and boosted the Trans-Pacific Partnership as Barack Obama\u2019s vice president.<\/p>\n

Now he wants to spend $400 billion over four years on having Uncle Sam \u201cbuy American,\u201d plus $300 billion in R&D for progressive pet projects such as electric vehicles.<\/p>\n

Biden\u2019s campaign calls this \u201cmoderate\u201d because it\u2019s not everything Bernie Sanders wants, just the \u201clargest mobilization of public investments in procurement, infrastructure and R&D since WWII.\u201d<\/p>\n

It\u2019s an Obama-plus program \u2014 including lots of new taxes, on top of the $3.4 trillion in tax hikes he promised months ago.<\/p>\n

His staff claims it\u2019ll create 5 million new jobs, on top of recovering the tens of millions of jobs lost to the lockdowns. Hey, it worked under Obama \u2026 oops, it didn\u2019t.<\/p>\n

The pre-coronavirus economy was soaring, but Biden\u2019s out to undo all the Trump policies that helped make that happ<\/a>en. You\u2019re not supposed to notice, because Joe\u2019s slogans sound like Make America Great Again. In short, he thinks the voters are fools.\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
