Here\u2019s how to do it.<\/p>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How_It_Works\"><\/span>How It Works<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Chrome 90 includes an experimental flag called \u201cClipboard Filenames.\u201d When this flag is enabled, you can attach files to your email in Gmail by just pasting the file (as in pasting a file in your file manager using Ctrl+V or Command+V).<\/p>\n<p>This flag is supposed to work on Windows, Mac, Linux, Chrome OS, and Android. We tested it on our Windows and Mac machines and it worked just fine on Windows. For some reason, it didn\u2019t work on our particular Mac. Since this feature is still experimental, any current issues with the feature may change in future updates to Chrome.<\/p>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How_to_Quickly_Paste_Attachments_into_Gmail\"><\/span>How to Quickly Paste Attachments into Gmail<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you want to try this feature, you\u2019ll have to update Chrome\u00a0to make sure that you have version 90 or later. In any Chrome tab, visit the <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/mail.google.com\/\">Gmail<\/a> site. In the \u201cNew Message\u201d window, right-click the area where you type the body of your email message and select \u201cPaste\u201d from the menu. Alternately, you can click the body area and press Ctrl+V (on Windows, Linux, or Chrome OS) or Command+V (on Mac) to paste the attachment file.<\/p>\n<p>After pasting, you\u2019ll see the attachment file listed at the bottom of the \u201cNew Message\u201d pop-up window.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-724875\" src=\"https:\/\/www.howtogeek.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/paste-file-gmail.png?trim=1,1&amp;bg-color=000&amp;pad=1,1\" alt=\"When you paste non-image files into Gmail's compose window, they will appear in a list at the bottom of the message.\" width=\"650\" height=\"290\" onload=\"pagespeed.lazyLoadImages.loadIfVisibleAndMaybeBeacon(this);\" onerror=\"this.onerror=null;pagespeed.lazyLoadImages.loadIfVisibleAndMaybeBeacon(this);\"\/><\/p>\n<p>If you paste an image file, it will <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ear in-line. This means that the image will be displayed within the email text and won\u2019t be treated as an attachment. If this is a problem, click the paperclip icon in the \u201cNew Message\u201d window and attach the file using the traditional method.<\/p>\n<p>And that\u2019s it!
