The peacock network wants to remind you of your childhood and Wham-O\u2019s<\/a> iconic 1960s outdoor game. NBC has ordered a new game show titled Ultimate Slip \u2018N Slide<\/em> which will be held at real-life water park full of gigantic slippery rides.<\/p>\n

Comedia<\/a>ns Bobby Moynihan and Ron Funches will host the series<\/a> which will launch following the Closing Ceremony of the Summer Olympics on Sunday, August 8th<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. \u2013 May 6, 2021 \u2013 NBC is gearing up to have some fun in the sun with the exciting new competition gameshow \u201cUltimate Slip \u2018N Slide\u201d with a special two-night premiere on Sunday, Aug. 8 at 10:30 p.m. ET \/ 7:30 p.m. PT, immediately following the Closing Ceremony of the Summer Olympics, and Monday, Aug. 9 at 8 p.m. ET\/PT.<\/p>\n

A fresh take on Wham-O\u2019s iconic 1960s outdoor game, this wet-and-wild new series takes the spirit of the classic backyard slide and transforms it into a real-life water park full of gigantic slippery rides with the chance to take home a big cash prize. \u201cUltimate Slip \u2018N Slide\u201d is produced by Universal Television Alternative Studio, a division of Universal Studio Group, in association with Propagate and Critical Content.<\/p>\n

\u201cUltimate Slip \u2018N Slide,\u201d will be hosted by \u201cSaturday Night Live\u201d alum, comedian and actor Bobby Moynihan, and comedian, actor and writer Ron Funches.<\/p>\n

\u201cNBC is proud to be the home of some of the biggest and most outrageous physical competition shows and we\u2019re thrilled to add this larger-than-life version of the classic backyard game to our summer lineup,\u201d said Jenny Groom, Executive Vice President, Unscript<\/a>ed Content, NBCUniversal Television and Streaming. \u201cWhat better way to celebrate all the gold medals from the Olympic Summer Games than to give everyday people the opportunity to soar down an extraordinary 65-foot-tall slippery yellow slide.\u201d<\/p>\n

Featuring pairs of siblings, best friends, couples and co-workers, teams from all walks of life will compete in multiple hilarious rounds of games, including Human Pong, Body Bowling, Cornhole, Bocce Fall and many more. The two teams that make it to the final challenge will take on the Big Slipper, a colossal multi-part slide meant for only the bravest and boldest players as it determines who will earn the title of Slip \u2018N Slide champion and take home the cash prize.<\/p>\n

ABOUT BOBBY MOYNIHAN
\nBobby Moynihan is in the cast of NBC\u2019s \u201cMr. Mayor\u201d as Jayden Kwapis, the loveably unhip interim Director of Communications whose bumbling personality hides his street smarts and political instincts, co-starring opposite Ted Danson and Holly Hunter.<\/p>\n

Moynihan was a cast member on \u201cSaturday Night Live\u201d for nine seasons where he originated beloved characters such as Drunk Uncle and co-wrote the popular David S. Pumpkins sketch starring Tom Hanks, which spawned a Halloween animated special which runs every year on NBC.<\/p>\n

Moynihan\u2019s other television credits include \u201cUnbreakable Kimmy Schmidt,\u201d \u201cDocumentary Now!,\u201d \u201cDrunk History,\u201d \u201cThe Simpsons,\u201d \u201cGirls,\u201d \u201cPortlandia,\u201d and \u201cMe, Myself & I.\u201d His voiceover credits range from Panda on the Cartoon Network animated series \u201cWe Bare Bears,\u201d to Louie on \u201cDuckTales,\u201d and Orka on \u201cStars Wars Resistance,\u201d both for DisneyXD, as well as on film in Pixar\u2019s \u201cInside Out\u201d and \u201cMonsters University\u201d and others.<\/p>\n

\nRon Funches is a stand-up comedian, actor and writer known for TV roles on \u201cThe Goldbergs,\u201d \u201cBlack-ish,\u201d \u201cNew Girl,\u201d \u201cTransparent,\u201d \u201cCurb Your Enthusiasm,\u201d \u201cPowerless,\u201d \u201cUndateable\u201d or from films such as \u201cGet Hard\u201d alongside Will Farrell, \u201cJexi,\u201d \u201cNoelle\u201d and \u201c6 Underground.\u201d<\/p>\n

He has also leant his voice to many projects such as Dreamwork\u2019s \u201cTrolls,\u201d Disney\u2019s \u201cIvan the Great,\u201d \u201cBob\u2019s Burgers,\u201d \u201cAdventure Time,\u201d \u201cFinal Space,\u201d and so many more.
