That\u2019s not to say it was downright terrible. In fact, it went a little better than I expected. But this is the perfect example of how an episode of <em>SNL<\/em> can be stilted by a host with very little comedic intuition, even if the host is more than willing to have a little fun.<span id=\"more-670484\"><\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Happy_Mothers_Day_from_Saturday_Night_Live\"><\/span>Happy Mother\u2019s Day from Saturday Night Live<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=KlEXNWjm1f8\">https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=KlEXNWjm1f8<\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>Saturday Night Live<\/em> kicked off the episode with an amusing and heartwarming cold open. Rather than opting for a timely sketch at the top of the show, Miley Cyrus introduced the show by singing a familiar Dolly Parton tune. Throughout the song, almost every single cast member from <em>SNL<\/em> brought their mother on the show and had a fun little exchange with them. It\u2019s not exactly a sketch, so I\u2019m not going to rank it like the rest of the episodes bits, but it\u2019s certainly worth a look.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_Best\"><\/span>The Best<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><!-- SlashFilm_300x250_In_Post --><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Murdur Durdur - SNL\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/qaKZi6p6sxg?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong>Murder Durder<\/strong> \u2013 Kate Winslet is solving murders and <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.today.com\/food\/kate-winslet-gushes-about-wawa-it-felt-mythical-place-t217847\">loving Wawa<\/a> thanks to the <em>Mare of Easttown<\/em> on HBO. As for <em>SNL<\/em>, they\u2019re leaning into the Philadelphia setting by giving us an even more authentic portrayal of a very specific set of white people from Pennsylvania. You can\u2019t help but laugh at the exaggerated but also accurate dialect from this part of the country, especially in the heat of the crime drama. It also benefits from Elon Musk only <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>earing as a creepy priest for a brief moment.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Ooli Show - SNL\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/f7oOmwc1c8o?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Ooli Show<\/strong> \u2013 If there\u2019s one thing I love, it\u2019s Icelandic accents played for comedic effect, so I had a lot of fun with this sketch. Plus, it\u2019s the one time where Elon Musk\u2019s awkward delivery and pacing actually somewhat paid off. The only shortcoming is Pete Davidson\u2019s half-ass Steve Buscemi impersonation. But Kate McKinnon\u2019s vaguely confused and annoyed Frances McDormand made up for it.
