\n Of all the challenges teams will face in their attempt to have a season during a pandemic, Jeff McNeil believes travel will be the most difficult of all.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe don\u2019t know what it\u2019s gonna be like,\u2019\u2019 McNeil said Thursday. \u201cWe don\u2019t know if we\u2019re gonna take buses everywhere and how many buses. What\u2019s it gonna be like in the hotel? The biggest challenge will be trying to get used to all that.\u201d<\/p>\n

For now, the Mets are focused on how they can prepare at Citi Field and even practiced how to sit in the dugout on Wednesday, according to Luis Rojas.<\/p>\n

But that figures to be much easier to handle than life on the road.<\/p>\n

Michael Wacha said he expects travel to be \u201ccrazy\u201d this season.<\/p>\n

Added McNeil: \u201cIt\u2019s not gonna be like a normal year, where travel is extremely smooth and they have it down to a science<\/a>.\u2019\u2019 <\/p>\n

McNeil said the details still have to be worked out, but he\u2019s already fairly certain of what his routine will be away from home.<\/p>\n

\u201cI know they want us in the [hotel] room as much as possible, away from the general<\/a> public,\u2019\u2019 McNeil said. \u201cI know when I\u2019m on the road, I\u2019m gonna be in my hotel most of the time, relaxing.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI keep thinking I\u2019ve seen it all, but every single day there will be something we haven\u2019t seen before,\u2019\u2019 Wacha said. \u201cWe\u2019re learning as we go. \u2026 Travel is gonna be crazy, but I think everyone is prepared and ready to take it on.\u201d\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
