“#’I Have My Own Theories’ (VIDEO)<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

Cancellations aren\u2019t always surprising when it comes to television, but when a show as popular as CBS\u2019s Mom<\/em> is given the axe, there\u2019s was sure to be some shock.<\/p>\n

During a profile on CBS Sunday Morning<\/em>, Allison Janney revealed she\u2019s among the show\u2019s loyal fans when it comes to that sentiment. \u201cYeah, it was a shock,\u201d she said about learning the show would end after eight seasons.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have my own theories,\u201d she continued, \u201cbut I\u2019ve been told not to express them. But listen, eight years is a great long run for a show.\u201d Despite her mixed feelings on the matter, Janney is proud of what Mom<\/em> has accomplished since its debut in 2013.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou know, it\u2019s one thing to be part of a show that entertains, which in and of itself is a wonderful thing,\u201d Janney noted. \u201cBut to also have an impact on people who are in recovery or people who have loved ones or family members who are going through it, to make recovery a more app<\/a>roachable option.\u201d<\/p>\n

That doesn\u2019t make the transition of ending the show any easier though. \u201cI hate change,\u201d Janney admitted. \u201cI get afraid, I always have to let something go\u201d Janney plays the titular mom, Bonnie, in the series<\/a> and fans have tracked the character\u2019s progress as she\u2019s struggled with sobriety.<\/p>\n

The subject hits close to home for Janney who lost her brother Hal to addiction 10 years ago. \u201cI just \u2013 I just miss his sense of humor, really,\u201d she revealed, adding that she still calls his phone number from time to time.<\/p>\n
