That c<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ed the worst such stretch for the Dow Jones Industrial Average<br \/>\n        DJIA,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/210598065\/realtime\" class=\"negative\">-1.99%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n       and S&amp;P 500 index<br \/>\n        SPX,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/210599714\/realtime\" class=\"negative\">-2.14%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n       in about seven months, according to Dow Jones Market Data.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe markets knew this morning\u2019s report on April consumer prices wasn\u2019t going to be pretty \u2014 but even it was surprised how bad it was,\u201d \u00a0Steve Chiavarone, portfolio manager at Federated Hermes, wrote in a client note.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is worth noting, however, that this was just one month and that soaring used-car prices accounted for nearly a third of the month-over-month increase \u2014 a likely transitory item due to lack of supply and the ongoing semiconductor shortage.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Read<\/strong>: Used-car prices surpassed $25,000 for the first time. It can also lead to spells of volatility for stocks and bonds, particularly if the current pace of price increases keeps up.<\/p>\n<p><strong>See:<\/strong> What does inflation mean for the stock market?
