Are wedding bells going to chime once again on Chicago Fire<\/em>, this time for Lieutenant Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney<\/a>) and Lieutenant Stella Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo<\/a>)? Yes, she passed the lieutenant\u2019s exam in the May 12 episode, and Severide had been holding off on talking to his girlfriend about something while she\u2019s been focused on that.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to talk to her about getting married,\u201d he reveals to Captain Matt Casey (Jesse Spencer<\/a>) in \u201cWhat Comes Next.\u201d No, he\u2019s not planning to propose (yet?) but he does want to put the idea of marriage out there to \u201csee where she\u2019s at\u201d since \u201cshe always used to say she\u2019d never get married again.\u201d<\/p>\n

Casey\u2019s pretty much their biggest cheerleader (and probably already writing his best man speech?), and by episode\u2019s end, he encourages his roommate to get out of his head because of the connection that Severide and Kidd clearly share. It\u2019s \u201cthe kind people look for their whole lives,\u201d Casey says. \u201cYou\u2019re overthinking this marriage thing. You don\u2019t need to talk it over with Stella, you just need to propose.\u201d Severide agrees\u2026at the time.<\/p>\n

However, as the promo for the next episode, \u201cA White-Knuckle Panic,\u201d reveals, there isn\u2019t an open lieutenant\u2019s spot at Firehouse 51. She\u2019ll have to go elsewhere, Battalion Chief Wallace Boden (Eamonn Walker<\/a>) tells Severide.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve been rethinking things, this marriage idea,\u201d Severide then tells Casey. \u201cMaybe it\u2019s not the best move.\u201d<\/p>\n
