\nWell, this is a new couple alert we didn\u2019t expect.<\/p>\n

Just three days<\/em> after the news<\/a> of his divorce went public, a source for\u00a0People<\/em> is\u00a0claiming John Mulaney<\/strong> has ALREADY moved on \u2014 with\u00a0Olivia Munn<\/strong>! The insider says:<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is very new, they\u2019re taking it slowly. They met at church in Los Angeles.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

They met\u00a0at church<\/em>?? Well, that kind of is and kind of isn\u2019t true. Back to that later.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s only been three months since the\u00a0SNL<\/em> alum got out of rehab, which he entered into after a relapse of his longtime cocaine and alcohol addiction during quarantine. In that time he app<\/a>arently started going to church, started dating Olivia Munn, and chose to divorce his wife of six years,\u00a0Annamarie Tendler<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

We knew he was the one who did the dumping; per the first report from Page Six<\/em> he actually asked for the divorce in February, presumably immedia<\/a>tely upon leaving rehab. Annamarie said in a statement in response to the news of their split coming out on Monday:<\/p>\n

\u201cI am heartbroken that John has decided to end our marriage. I wish him support and success as he continues his recovery.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

His own rep\u2019s statement also highlighted the recovery:<\/p>\n

\u201cJohn will not have any further comment as he continues to focus on his recovery and getting back to work.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

No mention in there of continuing to focus on a new relationship with the star of\u00a0X-Men: Age of Apocalypse<\/em>. Huh.<\/p>\n

So did they really meet in church??<\/p>\n

Well, maybe. But that was more of a reconnection. She mentioned meeting him years beforehand, back when he and Annamarie were not yet even married. In a 2015 interview on\u00a0HuffPost Live<\/em> she said of the comic:<\/p>\n

\u201cWe were at a wedding together and I was like \u2018Oh, my gosh, do you and your fianc\u00e9e want to go have dinner or something and go hang out?\u2019 At first it was cool, and then I kept going up to him at the wedding like, \u2018So, you having fun?\u2019 I was just so obsessed with hanging out with and talking with him.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Wow. That quote plays\u00a0very<\/em> differently knowing she ends up hooking up with him less than a week after he left his wife \u2014 the woman who was his date at that wedding.<\/p>\n

She even got his info and reached out \u2014 though he dodged the message, perhaps because he and\/or his future wife saw something more than a desire for friendship in her approach. She joked at the time:<\/p>\n

\u201cI might\u2019ve got the wrong email \u2014 probably. That\u2019s what I tell myself.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Mm-hm. She was one of many celebs to send love to Mulaney when news of his rehab journey first broke. She tweeted:<\/p>\n

\u201cSending SO MUCH love and support to John Mulaney. You got this\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

SO MUCH love\u2026<\/p>\n

It\u2019s unclear if Annamarie knew anything about this before, well,\u00a0now<\/em> when it\u2019s hitting the news. But for her part, she does seem to be moving forward. She\u2019s reactivated her\u00a0Instagram<\/strong> page, showcasing her art pieces \u2014 and no John in sight.<\/p>\n
