\n More than 300 people flooded the streets of an affluent Hamptons town Friday to protest racial injustice after the death of George Floyd.<\/p>\n

Waving signs that read \u201cBlack lives matter more than white feelings\u201d and \u201cI can\u2019t breath,\u201d the crowd, including local residents, marched along the waterfront streets of Sag Harbor on Long Island\u00a0 \u2014 not far from where celebrities such as Christie Brinkley and Paul Simon own multi-million dollar homes.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve seen all of the images from the last week and seen [Floyd\u2019s] story as incredible police brutality,\u201d said one local protester, Leslie Abbey. \u201cWe all need to come out \u2026 and do whatever we can to take anti-racist steps and prevent this from happ<\/a>ening again.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another protester, Hanna Dietz, added, \u201cWith everything going on with George Floyd, it\u2019s important to come out and support the movement.\u201d<\/p>\n

The death of Floyd, who was black, at the hands of a white Minneapolis police officer on May 25 has sparked nationwide protest and riots.<\/p>\n

In Sag Harbor, demonstrators wore face masks and remained peaceful throughout the three-hour protest.\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
