The Google Nest Hub is great at adjusting display brightness and color temperature to match the room\u2019s lighting. It will even switch to a dim clock mode when in complete darkness, but if you\u2019re using it on your bedside table, that may still be too bright at night.<\/p>\n

The second-generation Nest Hub has a lot of sleep-tracking features, which require the device to be situated close to your bed. You may also just like to use a Nest Hub as a bedside companion. If the light from the dim clock mode bothers you, it can be turned off completely.<\/p>\n

To do this, you\u2019ll need to open the Google Home app<\/a> on your\u00a0iPhone<\/a>,\u00a0iPad<\/a>, or\u00a0Android<\/a>\u00a0device. Find your Google Nest Hub in the list of devices.<\/p>\n

Now, tap the gear icon in the top-right corner to open the Settings.<\/p>\n

Next, go to the \u201cDisplay\u201d option.<\/p>\n

First, you can decide when you want the Low light mode to be activated. This is what will decide when the screen turns off. Your options are \u201cDark\u201d or \u201cDim.\u201d<\/p>\n

Then, you can switch the \u201cDuring Low Light\u201d action to \u201cTurn Off Screen\u201d instead of to the default \u201cShow Clock.\u201d<\/p>\n

Also, while you\u2019re on this screen, you can adjust the \u201cMinimum Brightness\u201d and the \u201cScreen Timeout\u201d settings.<\/p>\n
