Along the way, she forges this bond with this teenage girl named Ani (<strong>Miku Martineau<\/strong>), and they end up taking on this mission together. It\u2019s a heartfelt, brutal, assassin story!\u201d<\/p>\n<p><em>Kate<\/em> is directed by\u00a0<strong>Cedric Nicolas-Troyan<\/strong> (<em>The Huntsman: Winter\u2019s War<\/em>) and also stars <strong>Woody Harrelson<\/strong> as Kate\u2019s handler, as well as\u00a0<strong>Tadanobu Asano,<\/strong> <strong>Michiel Huisman<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Jun Kunimura<\/strong>, and Japanese action and musician <strong>Miyavi<\/strong>, who plays a dangerous foe to Winstead\u2019s hitwoman. The film is written by <strong>Umair Aleem<\/strong> and produced by <strong>Bryan Unkeless<\/strong>, <strong>Kelly McCormick<\/strong>, and <strong>Patrick Newall<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWoody is Woody,\u201d Nicolas-Troyan told EW. \u201cHe\u2019s an adventure in itself, for sure. But he\u2019s very committed and he is super easy to work with. He gives that swagger to that character. He wasn\u2019t on the set for very long but we made it count.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>While I\u2019m all for more <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">movies<\/a> that tap into Winstead\u2019s way-underused potential as action star, I do balk a little at yet\u00a0<em>another<\/em> Japan-set movie from Netflix that feels like it\u2019s throwing in the \u201cexotic\u201d setting and a few beloved Japanese actors to make up for a formulaic story. We\u2019ve seen it with 2018\u2019s\u00a0<em>The Outsider<\/em> starring Jared Leto and 2019\u2019s\u00a0<em>The\u00a0<\/em><em>Earthquake Bird<\/em> starring Alicia Vikander, both movies that vanished into the ether of the Netflix algorithm almost as soon as they debuted.
