Queens Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez says she plans to keep her mask on.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you want to keep wearing your mask then do it,\u201d AOC told her followers in an Instagram story early Saturday. \u201cPersonally I\u2019m going to keep wearing my mask in shared indoor public spaces like elevators, subway, grocery store, etc.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cNYC got hit so hard that I think some of us are going to take time adjusting as we feel comfortable,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

\u201cMask wearing is also something I\u2019ll probably continue doing overall from time to time if I feel like I might be coming down with something and don\u2019t want to spread it.\u201d<\/p>\n

New CDC guidelines now say fully vaccinated people can go maskless indoors, and outside.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you are fully vaccinated, you can start doing the things that you had stopped doing because of the pandemic,\u201d said CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky in a briefing.<\/p>\n

The agency, however, continues to urge mask wearing for certain crowded indoor spaces, such as hospitals, homeless shelters and prisons, as well as on trains, planes and buses.<\/p>\n
