She may be Madam Vice President to the world, but on Saturday Kamala Harris was just \u201cMomala\u201d to her stepdaughter.<\/p>\n

Harris tweeted sweet congratulations to Ella Emhoff, the daughter of husband Doug Emhoff, to commemorate Ella\u2019s Friday graduation from The New School\u2019s Parsons School of Design in New York City.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am so proud of you,\u201d Harris posted over a snap<\/a> of the two women. \u201cKeep dreaming with ambition and there is nothing you cannot achieve.<\/p>\n

\u201cLove, Momala.\u201d<\/p>\n

Harris and Emhoff made a quiet trip<\/a> to New York Friday to watch the school\u2019s virtual graduation<\/a> ceremony with Ella, 21, who earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.<\/p>\n

The IMG model<\/a> and budding fashion designer\u2019s fascination with knitwear is evident in her thesis project<\/a> \u2014 which features the blocky, intentionally childish chore coat she wore for her first magazine cover<\/a> in February.<\/p>\n

Her contribution to a virtual time capsule created by Parsons seniors includes an incomplete latch-hook rug<\/a> that app<\/a>ears to simulate a breakfast platter.<\/p>\n

\u201cElla communicates this moment in time,\u201d IMG president Ivan Bart told the New York Times <\/a>in January. \u201cThere\u2019s a cheekiness and a joy she exudes.\u201d\n <\/div>\n
