Some are doing better than others. <\/p>\n<p> Just one in three return-to-work decision makers say their company is poised to negotiate a successful return to the workplace, according to a new survey conducted as the U.S. mass-vaccination effort forges ahead.<\/p>\n<div class=\"paywall\">\n       The independent <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a> organization <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.resetwork.co\/return-to-office-survey-results-hybrid-workplace-concerns-managers\/\" class=\"icon none\">Reset Work<\/a> polled 55 human-resources leaders and \u201creturn-to-workplace decision makers\u201d in industries including internet and <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/technology\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"4\" title=\"Technology\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">technology<\/a>, financial services, retail and e-commerce, consumer products, nonprofit, and professional services.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOther surveys have revealed what employees are thinking about<br \/>returning to offices; for this survey, we wanted to focus on the actual decision makers, and we learned that returning to work is likely to be unpredictable and potentially chaotic,\u201d the report said.<\/p>\n<div data-layout=\"inline\n                \" data-layout-mobile=\"\" class=\"\n          media-object\n          type-InsetPullQuote\n            inline\n    scope-web|mobileapps\n  article__inset\n          article__inset--type-InsetPullQuote\n            article__inset--inline\n  \"><\/p>\n<div class=\"wsj-article-pullquote article__inset__pullquote \">\n<p class=\"pullquote-content article__inset__pullquote__quote\">\n        <span class=\"l-qt article__inset__pullquote__mark--left\">\u201c<\/span><br \/>\n        Hybrid arrangements that mix in-office and remote work are the clear frontrunner so far.<br \/>\n        <span class=\"r-qt article__inset__pullquote__mark--right\">\u201d<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>       Among the findings: Some 27% of companies haven\u2019t yet committed to a specific arrangement, but hybrid arrangements that mix in-office and remote work are the clear frontrunner so far (63%). Just 6% of companies plan to be fully remote, and 4% plan to return to the office full-time.<\/p>\n<p> Seven in 10 respondents said they expected employees to work in the office two or three days a week on average, according to the survey, which was conducted March 11 to April 28. And among companies that plan to return to the physical workplace in some capacity, nearly three-quarters anticipate employees returning by the end of September.<\/p>\n<p>That said, just 33% of decision makers believe their organization is prepared and has the necessary resources to successfully navigate a return to work; only half expressed confidence in their company\u2019s workplace-return blueprint.<\/p>\n<div data-layout=\"inline\n                \" data-layout-mobile=\"\" class=\"\n          media-object\n          type-InsetPullQuote\n            inline\n    scope-web|mobileapps\n  article__inset\n          article__inset--type-InsetPullQuote\n            article__inset--inline\n  \"><\/p>\n<div class=\"wsj-article-pullquote article__inset__pullquote \">\n<p class=\"pullquote-content article__inset__pullquote__quote\">\n        <span class=\"l-qt article__inset__pullquote__mark--left\">\u201c<\/span><br \/>\n        Support and training for managers \u2018to lead through the challenges of flexible, hybrid workplaces\u2019 was the No. 1 concern.<br \/>\n        <span class=\"r-qt article__inset__pullquote__mark--right\">\u201d<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>       A number of large companies in <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.pewresearch.org\/fact-tank\/2021\/01\/25\/even-in-industries-where-majorities-can-telework-some-face-challenges-working-from-home-during-pandemic\/\" class=\"icon none\">industries that make telework feasible<\/a> have already laid out their return-to-work plans, hybrid and otherwise: The CEO of Citigroup<br \/>\n        C,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/207741460\/composite\" class=\"positive\">+1.69%<\/bg-quote><span>,<\/span><br \/>\n       for example, announced in March that most employees <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2021\/03\/23\/citigroup-ceo-jane-fraser-calls-for-zoom-free-fridays.html\" class=\"icon none\">would be designated hybrid workers<\/a> who come in at least three days a week.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p> Microsoft<br \/>\n        MSFT,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/207732364\/composite\" class=\"positive\">+2.11%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n       said it would begin its shift to hybrid work in late March.<\/p>\n<p>Google<br \/>\n        GOOG,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/205453964\/composite\" class=\"positive\">+2.40%<\/bg-quote><span>,<\/span><br \/>\n       which plans to encourage employee vaccination without requiring it, is experimenting with its office design to meet employees\u2019 post-pandemic workplace needs, the <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2021\/04\/30\/technology\/google-back-to-office-workers.html\" class=\"icon none\">New York Times<\/a> reported last week. <\/p>\n<div id=\"cx-membership-tile\"><\/div>\n<p>And Spotify<br \/>\n        SPOT,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/207488629\/composite\" class=\"positive\">+3.00%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n       said in February that its workers <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/hrblog.spotify.com\/2021\/02\/12\/introducing-working-from-anywhere\/\" class=\"icon none\">would be able to work<\/a> \u201cfull time from home, from the office, or a combination of the two\u201d starting in the summer.<\/p>\n<div data-layout=\"inline\n                \" data-layout-mobile=\"\" class=\"\n          media-object\n          type-InsetPullQuote\n            inline\n    scope-web|mobileapps\n  article__inset\n          article__inset--type-InsetPullQuote\n            article__inset--inline\n  \"><\/p>\n<div class=\"wsj-article-pullquote article__inset__pullquote \">\n<p class=\"pullquote-content article__inset__pullquote__quote\">\n        <span class=\"l-qt article__inset__pullquote__mark--left\">\u201c<\/span><br \/>\n        A number of large companies have already laid out their return-to-work plans, hybrid and otherwise.<br \/>\n        <span class=\"r-qt article__inset__pullquote__mark--right\">\u201d<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>       What are decision makers most concerned about with respect to returning to work? <\/p>\n<p> However, support and training for managers \u201cto lead through the challenges of flexible, hybrid workplaces\u201d was the No. 1 concern (41%). Concerns also included rethinking ways of working (25%), culture (20%) and employee experience (20%).<\/p>\n<p>Perhaps surprisingly, COVID-19 exposure landed near the bottom of the list of concerns (16%).<\/p>\n<p>As for the prospect of mandating coronavirus vaccinations for employees \u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/general\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"3\" title=\"General\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">general<\/a>ly within an employer\u2019s rights, according to the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission \u2014\u00a0nearly half of decision makers say they haven\u2019t made a decision yet.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Thirty-nine percent say they won\u2019t require vaccination, while 8% say they will. Another 6% say they won\u2019t mandate vaccination, but will only allow inoculated workers to return to the physical office.<\/p>\n<p>As of Tuesday, nearly 32% of the U.S. population had been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, and more than 44% had received at least one dose, according to the <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/covid.cdc.gov\/covid-data-tracker\/#vaccinations\" class=\"icon none\">Centers for Disease Control and Prevention<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Majorities of these HR leaders and decision makers also said their organizations planned to make or expand investments in diversity, equity and inclusion (65%) or relationship building (55%) in support of their return-to-the-workplace strategy.
