A driver rammed a car into a police checkpoint in Jerusalem on Sunday, leaving seven officers injured, reports said.<\/p>\n

The vehicle\u2019s driver was quickly shot dead, authorities told the Jerusalem Post.<\/a><\/p>\n

Video captured <\/a>the small silver sedan crashing into the checkpoint in the east Jerusalem neighborhood of Sheikh Jarrah.<\/p>\n

The injured police included a female officer shot in the leg by friendly fire and two others with moderate injuries, the outlet said. <\/p>\n

The incident came amid a week of deadly back-and-forth attacks between Israel and the Palestinians.<\/p>\n

Sheikh Jarrah has been at the center of the conflict, with six Palestinian families there facing an Israeli court order to vacate their homes so Israeli settlers can move in.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
