it was the exposure of his ties to pedophile Jeffrey Epstein\u00a0that really shook their marriage, according to a report on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p> The\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2021\/05\/16\/business\/bill-melinda-gates-divorce-epstein.html?referringSource=articleShare\" class=\"icon none\">New York Times detailed<\/a>\u00a0two instances where the billionaire\u00a0tech mogul clumsily asked out women who worked for him at Microsoft<br \/>\n        MSFT,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/207732364\/composite\" class=\"positive\">+2.11%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n       and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.<\/p>\n<div class=\"paywall\">\n       Later Sunday, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/microsoft-directors-decided-bill-gates-needed-to-leave-board-due-to-prior-relationship-with-staffer-11621205803?mod=hp_lead_pos1\" class=\"icon none\">the Wall Street Journal reported<\/a> Microsoft directors in 2020 decided Gates needed to step down from the board after allegations about an in<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ropriate sexual relationship with a staffer in 2000. Gates resigned his seat in March 2020 before the board could act.<\/p>\n<p>The incidents at times created an uncomfortable workplace environment, with Gates\u2019 personal life becoming\u00a0gossip fodder among employees, six current and former staffers told the Times.<\/p>\n<p>In one instance,\u00a0following a presentation by a female Microsoft employee in 2006, Gates, the company\u2019s then-chairman, emailed the woman to ask her out to dinner, two people familiar with the exchange told the Times.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf this makes you uncomfortable, pretend it never happened,\u201d Gates wrote in an email to the employee, according to the report.<\/p>\n<p>The woman\u00a0<em>was\u00a0<\/em>uncomfortable and pretended Gates never asked her out, the Times reported.<\/p>\n<p>A few years later, another woman, who worked for the Gates\u2019 philanthropic foundation, told the Times that he asked her out during a work <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/trip-and-travel\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"10\" title=\"Trip &amp; Travel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">trip<\/a> to New York, saying \u201cI want to see you.
