According to the Taproot Signal <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Twitter<\/a> bot, Binance Pool\u2019s maiden Taproot signal occurred at block height 683,878.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Based on community feedback, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Binance?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Binance<\/a> Pool has begun signaling for Taproot.<\/p>\n<p>It is estimated that <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Binance?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Binance<\/a> Pool will fully support Taproot before Friday this week. <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/eukp3FlEA8\">https:\/\/t.co\/eukp3FlEA8<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Binance (@binance) <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/binance\/status\/1394190217557463046?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">May 17, 2021<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>As previously reported by Cointelegraph, the two largest Bitcoin mining pools \u2014 AntPool and F2Pool \u2014 were among the earliest supporters of the protocol upgrade in the mining arena. SlushPool \u2014 the 12th-largest pool by hash rate distribution \u2014 was the first to mine the first transaction block with a Taproot signal.<\/p>\n<p>BTC.TOP, the only top-10 pool not yet signaling for Taproot is also <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/btctop_official\/status\/1394188949082415105\">reportedly<\/a> set to begin signaling for Taproot. Data from Taproot.watch, a <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/taproot.watch\/\">webpage<\/a> created by Bitcoin developer Hampus Sj\u00f6berg, there have been multiple occasions of at least 10 successive blocks with Taproot signals during the current difficulty epoch.<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.cointelegraph.com\/uploads\/2021-05\/fd3d3e3c-0689-452e-9915-2198153792eb.png\"><figcaption style=\"text-align: center;\">Source: Taproot.watch<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>However, with 190 non-signaling blocks so far, Taproot activation being locked in during this current difficulty window <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ears unlikely. The protocol upgrade can only move forward if 90% out of the 2,016 mined blocks in a difficulty epoch include an activation signal.<\/p>\n<p>At 190 blocks, the non-signaling blocks are now over 9%. At 202 non-signaling blocks, the Taproot lock-in threshold requirement will be pushed to the next difficulty adjustment in about 11 days.<\/p>\n<p>Taproot activation must be locked in before Aug. 11 for the network upgrade to happen in November. If that happens, it will arguably be the most notable protocol-level improvement in the last four years for the largest crypto by market capitalization.<\/p>\n<p>The Taproot upgrade will essentially mask spending conditions prescribed by transacting parties, a feature touted to have significant implications for both privacy and smart contract capabilities of the Bitcoin protocol.<\/p>\n<p><template data-name=\"subscription_form\" data-type=\"markets_outlook\"><\/template><\/div>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
