\nThe truth IS out there!<\/p>\n

UFO conspiracy theorists (like Ms. Demi Lovato<\/strong>, host of the upcoming Unidentified with Demi Lovato<\/em>) may feel validated after the last episode of 60 Minutes<\/em>. The venerated news<\/a> program entered new territory on Sunday with an episode about Unidentified Aerial Phenomena, or UAPs \u2014 the government\u2019s term for a UFO. Speaking with Navy pilots and government officials, the program presented some pretty boggling evidence for the existence of these wild flying objects\u2026 even if everything about the \u201cphenomena\u201d is still a mystery.<\/p>\n

The most compelling stories came from the pilots who witnessed these strange crafts for themselves. 60 Minutes<\/em>\u2018 Bill Whittaker<\/strong> interviewed Cmdr. Dave Fravor<\/strong> and Lt. Cmdr. Alex Dietrich<\/strong>, who in 2004 were assigned to investigate \u201cmultiple anomalous aerial vehicles\u201d while training. Both men were flying F\/A-18F aircraft with weapons system officers in the back seat. As they flew, both saw something strange. Fravor recalled:<\/p>\n

\u201cWe saw this little white Tic-Tac-looking object\u2026 and it\u2019s just kind of moving above the whitewater area.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Dietrich added:<\/p>\n

\u201cNo predictable movement, no predictable trajectory.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Fravor descended for a closer look, describing the object as about the same size as his F\/A-18F, but with no markings, no wings, and no exhaust plumes. (HUH?!) When he tried to cut off the UAP, it \u201caccelerated so quickly that it seemed to disapp<\/a>ear,\u201d only to reappear on the advanced radar of another ship in their training group seconds later \u2014 60 miles away.<\/p>\n

Dietrich admitted:<\/p>\n

\u201cI felt the vulnerability of not having anything to defend ourselves. And then I felt confused when it disappeared.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Elsewhere, he asserted:<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was unidentified. And that\u2019s why it was so unsettling to us. Because we weren\u2019t expecting it. We couldn\u2019t classify it.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Meanwhile, Former Navy Lt. Ryan Graves<\/strong> claimed his own squadron saw UAPs hovering over restricted airspace southeast of Virginia Beach \u201cevery day for a couple of years\u201d beginning in 2014.<\/p>\n

The pilot shared:<\/p>\n

\u201cI am worried, frankly. \u2026 if these were tactical jets from another country that were hanging out up there, it would be a massive issue. \u2026 But because it looks slightly different, we\u2019re not willing to actually look at the problem in the face. We\u2019re happy to just ignore the fact that these are out there, watching us every day.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Every day?! WTF?!<\/p>\n

In 2020, the Office of Naval Intelligence created the Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force, formalizing the collection of data and evidence around UAPs for perhaps the first time. Christopher Mellon<\/strong>, former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Intelligence for presidents Bill Clinton<\/strong> and George W. Bush<\/strong>, told 60 Minutes<\/em>:<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat [the Pentagon is] acknowledging is that there are indeed aircraft that are\u2026 violating restricted airspace. This has been happening and continues to happen\u2026 and we don\u2019t know where they\u2019re from, and we don\u2019t understand the technology<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Next month, the Director of National Intelligence, in consultation with the Secretary of Defense, will present an unclassified report on UAPs to Congress \u2014 at the request of Senate Intelligence Committee chairman and former Presidential hopeful, Marco Rubio<\/strong>. The senator explained that it\u2019s important to investigate whether other nations like China or Russia have developed such advanced technology\u2026 or whether the UAPs are something else entirely. He said:<\/p>\n

\u201cI want us to take it seriously and have a process to take it seriously. I want us to have a process to analyze the data every time it comes in. That there be a place where this is cataloged and constantly analyzed, until we get some answers. \u2026 Maybe it has a very simple answer. Maybe it doesn\u2019t.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

WOW! This is pretty mind blowing! Sounds like there\u2019s plenty for Demi to investigate on her new Peacock<\/strong> show, huh? We have chills.<\/p>\n
