\n Ex-Eagles safety Malcolm Jenkins addressed former teammate DeSean Jackson\u2019s anti-Semitic posts in an Instagram video Friday, calling the aftermath a \u201cdistraction.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe gotta stay focused,\u201d Jenkins said in the video. \u201cAll of this back and forth that\u2019s going on right now is a distraction. Comments were made, and they were wrong. Allow those who were impacted by it to voice their grievances.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut we\u2019ve got to stay focused. Because Breonna Taylor\u2019s killers are still not arrested. We\u2019re still fighting for justice. We\u2019ve got a lot of work to do. And this ain\u2019t it. Stay focused.\u201d<\/p>\n

Recently, Jenkins notably criticized new-teammate Drew Brees for his comments towards kneeling during the national anthem. In the emotional video, Jenkins stressed the need for solidarity among all players in the fight for social<\/a> justice.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019re someone that doesn\u2019t understand their privilege,\u201d Jenkins said in the video. \u201cYou don\u2019t understand the potential that you have to actually be an advocate for the people you call brothers \u2026 If you don\u2019t understand that other people experience something totally different than you, then when you talk about the brotherhood, and all this other bulls\u2013t, it\u2019s just lip-service.\u201d<\/p>\n

In his response to Jackson\u2019s anti-Semitic posts, however, Jenkins, a CNN contributor, sang a different tune.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe can honor the Jewish heritage and trauma while staying focused on what matters. Jewish people aren\u2019t our problem, and we aren\u2019t their problem. Let\u2019s not lose focus on what the problem truly is, and that\u2019s that Black lives still don\u2019t matter in this country.\u201d<\/p>\n

In Jackson\u2019s post, he posted a picture of a quote falsely attributed to Adolf Hitler, including rhetoric accusing Jews of blackmailing and extorting America and a line that said \u201cHitler was right.\u201d It came just days after Jackson promoted a speech by Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan, who is notorious for making anti-Semitic remarks and \u201croutinely accuses Jews of manipulating the U.S. government and controlling the levers of world power,\u201d according to the Southern Poverty Law Center.<\/p>\n

Jackson has publicly apologized multiple times and met with a group against anti-Semitism, according to ESPN. The Eagles have released one statement, saying they take the matter seriously.\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
