Rather, they\u2019re \u201cprideful,\u201d a \u201cform of showing off.\u201d Some \u201cconfessions\u201d are also \u201cdefensive,\u201d an attempt to avoid possibly violent attacks \u2014 but \u201cyou get canceled anyway.\u201d With so many whites now \u201cfrantically competing\u201d over \u201cwho can <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ear more self-excoriating,\u201d the world is \u201cin danger of installing heritable guilt as morally valid,\u201d even though none of us chooses \u201cour race, sex or natal nationality.\u201d It makes no sense to \u201cfeel \u2018guilty\u2019 or \u2018ashamed\u2019 about something you didn\u2019t do\u201d; it\u2019s \u201cnot only ridiculous. It\u2019s vain.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Libertarian: GOP Health-Care Backfire<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Even ObamaCare supporters now view the program as \u201ca placeholder more than a permanent solution\u201d \u2014 yet, sighs Reason\u2019s Peter Suderman, Republicans refuse to say how they\u2019d replace it. Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar, for example, recently \u201cdodged questions about the particulars\u201d of a Republican plan. Indeed, since the 1990s, the GOP has focused on \u201cbeing the opposition\u201d to Democratic proposals rather than \u201cdeveloping a substantive alternative\u201d to the current system. That has \u201cgiven Democrats the upper hand\u201d \u2014 the reason we\u2019ll likely see a \u201cgovernment-run public option\u201d become \u201ca mainline position rather than a progressive outlier.\u201d In \u201cthe court of public opinion,\u201d after all, \u201ca bad argument wins over no argument just about every time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Russiagate watch: Will the Guilty Face Justice?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhere the hell is John Durham?\u201d asks Julie Kelly at American Greatness. Attorney <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/general\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"3\" title=\"General\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">General<\/a> Bill Barr appointed the prosecutor in May 2019 to \u201cinvestigate the corrupt origins of the FBI\u2019s probe into Donald Trump\u2019s presidential campaign and government efforts to sabotage\u201d him when he took office. \u201cYes, the coronavirus crisis slowed\u201d court proceedings, but it\u2019s still \u201chard to understand why clear-cut evidence of criminal misconduct hasn\u2019t been enough to justify a single indictment.\u201d The Justice Department Inspector General\u2019s report \u201coutlined extensive instances of abuse of power,\u201d and Jim Comey deputy Andrew McCabe \u201cadmitted lying to federal investigators under oath three times.\u201d Yet trials against Trump associates, such as Michael Flynn, \u201cdrag on.\u201d It\u2019s been four years since \u201cBarack Obama\u2019s top henchmen concocted and executed the biggest political scandal of all time,\u201d and the political clock is ticking: \u201cIndictments announced even this summer undoubtedly will be condemned as attempted election interference.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>From the left: John Roberts\u2019 Political Genius<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Chief Justice John Roberts \u201cplayed the term perfectly\u201d in his attempt to \u201cprioritize public respect for the Supreme Court and the federal judiciary\u201d and still advance conservative goals, Dahlia Lithwick and Mark \u00adJoseph Stern contend at Slate. Remarkably, Roberts managed to convince both liberals and conservatives that they won cases. He knew that \u201ca term filled with one conservative triumph after another\u201d would give Democrats \u201cammunition to run against the court,\u201d so he repeatedly joined the liberal justices while tacitly achieving conservative victories, including laying the groundwork for abortion restrictions. Ironically, his \u201cendless maneuvering\u201d to prevent the court from appearing political \u201crequires him to act politically.\u201d And therein lies his genius: He\u2019s \u00adsimultaneously getting what he wants while cultivating \u201cmore trust in the court.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Religion beat: Fight for Jews, Christians<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The press may overlook the persecution of Christians and Jews in the Middle East, laments Dmitri Solzhenitsyn at National Review, but over the past century it has fueled drastic attrition: Christians now make up just 5 percent of the population, down from 25 percent a century ago, while just 4,315 Jews remain in the Arab world, versus 880,000 in 1948. Fortunately, President Trump has been \u201cunequivocal in his demand\u201d that all nations join in the \u201curgent moral duty\u201d of curbing religious persecution.
