Gov. Andrew Cuomo \u2014 who\u2019s facing allegations <\/a>that he sexually harassed a series<\/a> of female aides \u2014 deflected, joked and laughed before denying Monday that he\u2019d ever had an intimate relationship with a subordinate.<\/p>\n

\u201cIntimate has a number of manifestations,\u201d Cuomo said when asked the question by The Post.<\/p>\n

The governor then turned to Health Commissioner Howard Zucker during a news<\/a> conference at Manhattan\u2019s Radio City Music Hall.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think we have an intimate relationship, don\u2019t you think? Yeah, not a sexual relationship,\u201d he said, laughing.<\/p>\n

When pressed further on whether he\u2019d dated any fellow state employees, Cuomo, answered, \u201cNo, no.\u201d<\/p>\n

The three-term Democrat has repeatedly denied that he ever \u201ctouched anyone inapp<\/a>ropriately\u201d in response to sexual harassment allegations from a number of women, mostly current and former aides.<\/p>\n

Cuomo, 63, has also been accused of groping a staffer inside his official residence, Albany\u2019s Executive Mansion, in November.<\/p>\n

Also Monday, Cuomo tried to walk back his claim last week that \u201charassment is not making someone feel uncomfortable.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYeah, there is a legal definition of harassment that is very clear,\u201d Cuomo said.<\/p>\n

\u201cAll I was saying is just, uncomfortable, does not mean sexual harassment,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201c\u2019You make me uncomfortable by some of the questions you ask me\u2019 \u2014 that is not sexual harassment. There are other elements that also have to be aired.\u201d<\/p>\n

Critics last week called Cuomo \u201cwrong about the law\u201d and said that \u201che\u2019d get laughed out of court\u201d if\u00a0he tried that defense before a judge.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe single most powerful man in New York is trying to play devil\u2019s advocate for himself, contradicting a bill that he himself signed into law,\u201d said former aide-turned-accuser Lindsey Boylan, now a Democratic candidate for Manhattan borough president.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
