A put is a bearish option that gives the holder the right to sell the security at a set price over a specified period. <\/p>\n<div class=\"paywall\">\n       The filing doesn\u2019t reveal when Scion made that bet against Tesla. However, Burry, who was profiled in Michael Lewis\u2019 \u201cThe Big Short\u201d telling of the 2008 housing market crash, has previously made clear that he is short on that stock.<\/p>\n<p>In December 2020, he announced a short against Elon Musk\u2019s company at \u201cridiculous\u201d levels. In January, he <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>eared to double down on that bet. \u201cWell, my last Big Short got bigger and bigger and BIGGER too,\u201d Burry said in a Jan. 10, now-deleted tweet. \u201cEnjoy it while it lasts.\u201d He appears to have <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/michaeljburry\" class=\"icon none\">deleted his Twitter account<\/a> in April.<\/p>\n<p>Burry also made a substantial investment on video<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/game\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"7\" title=\"Game\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">game<\/a>s retailer GameStop\u00a0<br \/>\n        GME,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/203755179\/composite\" class=\"negative\">-2.93%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n       in 2019, well before a trading frenzy driven by individual investors earlier this year.<\/p>\n<p>A bet that Tesla shares will fall might not appear wildly oddly out of place these days. At $576 as of Monday, shares have dropped about 18%, after rocketing 743% higher in 2020. One of Wall Street\u2019s bigger concerns surrounds its Chinese production and growing competition in that key market \u2014 Tesla\u2019s April sales fell more than Chinese rivals NIO<br \/>\n        NIO,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/204905836\/composite\" class=\"positive\">+0.78%<\/bg-quote><span>,<\/span><br \/>\n       Xpeng<br \/>\n        XPEV,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/219982686\/composite\" class=\"positive\">+2.53%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n      and Li Auto<br \/>\n        LI,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/219811686\/composite\" class=\"positive\">+3.58%<\/bg-quote><span>.<\/span>\n       <\/p>\n<p><strong>Read:<\/strong> NIO is making a landmark push outside of China into this electric-vehicle-obsessed country<\/p>\n<p>Another issue for investors is a lack of big catalysts on the horizon. <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">News<\/a> around a potential one \u2014 fully self-driving cars \u2014 would be welcome, but updates aren\u2019t expected until possibly the end of the year. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Read:<\/strong> This robot-run fund loaded up on Tesla because it thinks the stock will soar.
