Bill Gates courted Jeffrey Epstein in the twisted belief the well-connected pedophile could help him get a Nobel Peace Prize, a former staffer claimed, according to a report Tuesday.<\/p>\n

The Microsoft billionaire horrified staff with the meetings, which started in 2011 \u2014 when Epstein was already a convicted pedophile \u2014 and which reportedly left Gate\u2019s wife Melinda so disturbed it helped drive the couple to divorce. <\/p>\n

When his foundation\u2019s PR team was first alerted to the friendship they were told it \u201cwas a maneuver to try to get himself a Nobel Peace Prize,\u201d an anonymous foundation employee told The Daily Beast<\/a>.<\/p>\n

As well as staying at the multi-millionaire pervert\u2019s Upper East Side mansion, Gates joined Epstein in a trip<\/a> to Europe in March 2013, according to Dagens N\u00e6ringsliv<\/a>, Norway\u2019s largest business news<\/a>paper.<\/p>\n

The pair visited the Strasbourg home of Thorbjorn Jagland, who at the time was chair of the committee which awards the Peace Prize, the paper noted, saying Gates was being touted as a recipient at the time.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey came to my Residence with their respective delegations,\u201d Jagland wrote in an email of the visit, the paper said.<\/p>\n

The ex-staffer at Gates\u2019 foundation told The Daily Beast that staff long feared the boss was risking \u201cpotential reputational risks for the foundation\u201d with his ties to Epstein.<\/p>\n

\u201cEven back then, people knew this guy wasn\u2019t squeaky clean,\u201d the person told the outlet, referring to Epstein.<\/p>\n

But Gates \u201cthought that Jeffrey would be able to help him, that he would know the right people, or some kind of way to massage things, so he could get the Nobel Peace Prize, which is what Bill wants more than anything else in the world,\u201d the staffer said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think he was ultimately disapp<\/a>ointed it didn\u2019t work out,\u201d the sources insisted to The Daily Beast.<\/p>\n

It was also \u201cnot a secret\u201d that the billionaire \u201chad dalliances,\u201d the former staffer told the outlet of affairs while he was married to Melinda.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t think it was a wink-wink permissive thing at all. I think she was humiliated and did not like it,\u201d he said of Gates\u2019 now-estranged wife.<\/p>\n

Gates has long denied having a \u201cbusiness partnership or personal friendship with Epstein.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cBill Gates regrets ever meeting with Epstein and recognizes it was an error in judgmentt to do so,\u201d his spokesperson told the Daily Beast, repeating a statement first made in 2019.<\/p>\n

The spokesperson also insisted this week that any ties had nothing to do with the esteemed prize.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhile a Nobel Prize would certainly be a great honor, it is false to state that Bill Gates was \u2018obsessed\u2019 with the honor, set it as a goal, or campaigned for it in any way,\u201d the spokesperson told The Daily Beast.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf Epstein had a plan or motivation to insert himself into any processes related to any awards or honors on behalf of Gates, neither Gates nor anyone he works with was aware of his intentions and they would have rejected any offers for assistance.\u201d<\/p>\n

Reps for Gates did not immedia<\/a>tely return a request for comment from The Post.<\/p>\n
