The White House has been trying to downplay the crisis at the Mexican border, yet the situation is now so bad that Team Biden is actually diverting $2 billion in COVID funds there. \u00a0<\/p>\n

That\u2019s right: The money will go for shelters for the 45,000 unaccompanied migrant children who have crossed the border this year. It includes $850 million for the Department of Health and Human Services that was meant for testing from President Joe Biden\u2019s $1.9 trillion virus relief bill. And Secretary Xavier Becerra will use an additional $850 million from a fund meant to replenish emergency medical supplies nationwide and $436 million from other health programs.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s outrageous. Lawmakers never OK\u2019d that money for that purpose \u2014 though such transfers are app<\/a>arently legal, as long as Congress is notified.<\/p>\n

And the crisis itself is of Biden\u2019s own making. One day he blames President Donald Trump for the mess, the next he denies there\u2019s any problem at all, yet as soon as he took office, Biden began undoing all the successful steps Trump took \u2014 like his Remain in Mexico policy \u2014 to maintain order at the border.<\/p>\n

Biden\u2019s welcoming rhetoric further encouraged waves of migrants to head for the US border. No surprise, the number of migrants crossing increased 28 percent from just January to February.<\/p>\n

But why should taxpayers have to pony up billions more when everything was going fine under Trump? And who can forget how Democrats howled when Trump sought to use taxpayer money to discourage <\/em>migrant masses; now they don\u2019t say boo when Biden pulls such a fast one.<\/p>\n

Not to mention all the human misery he\u2019s caused the migrants he\u2019s encouraged to make the perilous trip<\/a> to the border.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe president single-handedly created this crisis and is now misplacing billions in taxpayers\u2019 money\u201d \u2014 when he could just reinstate Trump\u2019s protocols, notes Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (R-NY) said.<\/p>\n

The longer Biden digs in his heels, the higher the price tag for taxpayers.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
