\nWe don\u2019t know whether to believe any of this, but it\u2019s picking up steam, and we\u2019ve found too often lately that where there\u2019s smoke there\u2019s fire \u2014 and the smoke is just getting into our eyes a little too much.<\/p>\n

While the idea of long-sober John Mulaney<\/strong> relapsing was a shock, the more that comes out the more we realize we may not have been seeing the real him at all.<\/p>\n

The popular stand-up came across as the nicest, most clean-cut guy. He also seemed like he was completely devoted to his wife, Annamarie Tendler<\/strong>; now out of nowhere he\u2019s left her and is dating Olivia Munn<\/strong>, so who even knows?<\/p>\n

Well, someone claims to\u2026<\/p>\n

PageSix<\/em> has picked up a seemingly unverified rumor claiming Mulaney was cheating on his wife with a dancer at a strip club. Now, we\u2019ll get back to that later, but first, let\u2019s go with the oldest known online rumor. Nearly a year ago \u2014 months before the rehab \u2014 there was a blind item on celeb gossip Instagram<\/strong> account DeuxMoi<\/strong> that described a comedia<\/a>n\/late night comedy show writer who came to a club and paid for sex. While the blind never revealed who the comic was, many believed it to be about Mulaney.<\/p>\n

The dancer wrote into the account:<\/p>\n

\u201cI was so excited when I was told he was coming in the first time, I thought just to get lap dances but he slept with one of the dancers and my boss told me he sleeps with dancers whenever he\u2019s around.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Now, again, this was a\u00a0blind<\/em> item. As far as we know, nobody can even come close to confirming this is about Mulaney. We just know that quite a few people thought so. As for the \u201cdirector of a movie\u201d part \u2014 that doesn\u2019t match up at all. However, there is the possibility the poster saw this IG post (below), in which Mulaney *jokes* about directing pal Pete Davidson<\/strong>\u2018s film\u00a0The King Of Staten Island<\/em>, and didn\u2019t realize he was kidding:<\/p>\n
