Sounds like some Rock-solid advice. <\/p>\n

Comedia<\/a>n Chris Rock has advised John Mulaney to enlist his ex-wife\u2019s highly efficient divorce attorney after learning that comedian and writer split with his wife of six years<\/a> AnnaMarie Tendler. The \u201cSpiral\u201d actor dropped the unsolicited legal advice during an app<\/a>earance on \u201cThe Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe other night I saw Mulaney. Mulaney\u2019s working on new stuff, Mulaney\u2019s getting divorced,\u201d Rock, 56, told Fallon<\/a>. He had reportedly heard Mulaney\u2019s new divorce bits while opening for the 38-year-old \u201cBig Mouth\u201d writer<\/a> at Manhattan\u2019s City Winery from May 10-14. The sold-out five-day residency marked Mulaney\u2019s first time performing standup since entering rehab for drug and alcohol addiction in December. <\/p>\n

Rock said the comic should hire Malaak Compton-Rock\u2019s<\/a> lawyer to oversee the pending proceedings, as they cost the four-time Emmy Winner a huge chunk of his reported $70 million fortune<\/a> when the two divorced in 2016. <\/p>\n

\u201cThis is how much money I lost in my divorce \u2014 I recommended my ex-wife\u2019s divorce lawyer,\u201d The \u201cDown To Earth\u201d star quipped. \u201cI was like \u2018You should get this guy \u2014 he\u2019ll get you your money.<\/p>\n

Rock, who had admitted to cheating on Malaak with three different women \u2014 \u201cone famous, one semi-famous and one a member of the retail class\u201d<\/a> \u2014 continued, \u201cThis guy is good, because I walked out with nothing. I couldn\u2019t even afford the tickets tonight! You think I\u2019m joking, but I really did.\u201d<\/p>\n

The veteran comic dropped the advice a week after Page Six revealed <\/a>that Mulaney had decided to break it off with Tendler after completing his 60-day rehab stint in February. She said in a statement, \u201cI am heartbroken that John has decided to end our marriage. I wish him support and success as he continues his recovery.\u201d<\/p>\n

The reasons behind the sudden split remain unclear, although rumors have been swirling that Mulaney<\/a> was having an affair. <\/p>\n

Tendler \u2014 an artist who works across a range of mediums \u2014 had even entered rehab at around the same time late last year to deal with her emotional turmoil over her then husband\u2019s alleged infidelity. <\/p>\n

Mulaney is reportedly now dating actress Olivia Munn<\/a>, whom he met at a church in Los Angeles. In December, Munn sent the comedian well wishes after Mulaney entered rehab following a relapse in his decades-long journey with addiction.<\/p>\n
