\nOK so it might be slightly<\/em> unfair to ask Chris Harrison<\/strong> to pay attention here since his future with\u00a0Bachelor Nation<\/em> is still completely up in the air.<\/p>\n

But is it too much to ask producers of the American version of\u00a0The Bachelor<\/em> to watch what their worldwide counterparts are doing \u2014 and maybe learn a thing or two???<\/p>\n

For the first time ever this upcoming season,\u00a0The Bachelorette Australia<\/em> will feature an openly bisexual (and Indigenous) lead! The country\u2019s Channel 10<\/em> first announced the amazing news<\/a> on Wednesday, confirming that\u00a0Brooke Blurton<\/strong>, who is bisexual, will lead the upcoming season and host both male\u00a0and<\/em> female contestants in a bid to win her love!<\/p>\n

Amazing!<\/p>\n

The show is currently casting participants for the season \u2014 which should now be twice as interesting with men and<\/em> women vying to be Brooke\u2019s final suitor! And while a premiere date has yet to be announced, the 26-year-old pioneer sounded excited about making history and finding love all at once!<\/p>\n

In an interview after the announcement, Blurton told The Daily Telegraph\u00a0<\/em>(below):<\/p>\n

\u201cI am not too sure if Australia is ready for it. I certainly am. If it makes people feel uncomfortable in any way, I really challenge them to think about why it does.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Love that attitude! And also the desire to educate and challenge people about new and progressive ideals!<\/p>\n

Blurton also shared the big news on her\u00a0Instagram<\/strong> account on Wednesday, where she was all smiles in her first official promo pic as the show\u2019s next lead:<\/p>\n
