Tropical Storm Fay soaked New York City late Friday, resulting in flooding and some power problems, but it also may have cooled off some hot heads with bad intentions.<\/p>\n

Gunfire left two people wounded during separate shootings 30 minutes apart overnight, police said \u2014 a far cry from recent weekends, including last week, when more than 45 people were shot in the Big App<\/a>le \u2014 six of them fatally \u2014 between July 4 and July 5, police sources told The Post.<\/p>\n

At 1:30 a.m. Saturday, a 23-year-old man was grazed in the right arm by a bullet outside 263 Kings Highway in Brooklyn, police said. The victim, according to sources, was shot following a dispute in front of the Angelitos Noche Bar. He was taken to Maimonides Medical Center, where he is listed in stable condition. Cops took four people into custody, the sources said.<\/p>\n

Gunfire erupted a half hour later in the Bronx when a 21-year-old male was shot in the buttocks outside 2655 Valentine Avenue. In that instance, the victim was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital in stable condition. The shooter is described as wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, gray sweats and black sneakers. He fled with another man wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and gray sweats, the sources said. Cops recovered 4, .22 caliber bullets on the scene.<\/p>\n

A third shooting was reported Saturday afternoon, but details were not immedia<\/a>tely available, police said.<\/p>\n

The number of people shot in New York City more than trip<\/a>led between Monday, June 29, and Sunday, July 5, compared to the same period in 2019, The Post reported.<\/p>\n

In that snapshot of violence, the city saw 74 shooting incidents with 101 victims, sources said. That\u2019s compared to 26 shootings with 33 victims during that time last year.\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
