Luckily, it\u2019s easy to sign out\u2014from a device that you no longer have access to. Simply closing the Gmail tab will not sign you out of the account.<\/p>\n<p>To sign out of Gmail on the web, open the <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.gmail.com\">Gmail website<\/a> in the browser where you\u2019ve logged in. Next, click the Google Profile icon in the top-right corner of the window and select the \u201cSign Out\u201d button.<\/p>\n<p>(If you\u2019re logged in to multiple accounts, this button will read \u201cSign out of All Accounts\u201d instead. And the only way to sign out of Gmail is to sign out of the <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.howtogeek.com\/438216\/how-to-remove-a-gmail-account-from-your-android-device\/\">entire Google account on Android.<\/p>\n<p>To log out of the Gmail account on Android, you have to use the Settings app. The Settings interface can differ depending on the Android smartphone you\u2019re using, but the steps will be the same.<\/p>\n<p>The Gmail app has a handy shortcut for directly opening the Accounts page in Settings.
