An 83-year-old man died after being brutally assaulted by a fellow resident at his Bronx nursing home on Friday, police said.<\/p>\n

The 87-year-old suspect was taken into custody at around 6:30 p.m., after the attack at Pinnacle Multicare Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Co-Op City, cops said.<\/p>\n

Law enforcement sources said the elderly attacker went into an apartment at the assisted living facility and started pounding the victim\u2019s head into concrete, causing fatal bleeding and head trauma.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s unclear what started the deadly dispute.<\/p>\n

Charges were pending against the older man late Friday, police said. <\/p>\n

The identities of the suspect and victim were not immedia<\/a>tely released.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
