Bloomfield, Ohio teacher\u2019s aide Mandy Davis has been arrested and charged after police said she repeatedly had sex with a student, 12, at her home over two-week long \u201crelationship.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Daily Mail reported<\/a> that Mandy Davis, who worked at Teays Valley West Middle School as a teacher\u2019s aide, had a sexual relationship with the student between April 26 and May 11. <\/p>\n

There\u2019s little further information on the exact nature of the relationship due to the student\u2019s age. <\/p>\n

Davis has since been fired.<\/p>\n

The Teays Valley Local School District said Davis was fired.<\/p>\n

Ohio teacher\u2019s aide, 33, is charged with raping a 12-year-old student during a two week \u2018relationship\u2019<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

She is charged with rape, gross sexual imposition, and unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, according to a news<\/a> release from the Pickaway County Sheriff\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s not clear if Davis has an attorney available for comment on the charges. <\/p>\n

A search of Davis\u2019 home resulted in the discovery of unspecified evidence, according to the sheriff\u2019s office.<\/p>\n

She was taken into custody on Wednesday and arraigned the following day.<\/p>\n

After the sheriff\u2019s office conducted an investigation, deputies were able to arrest Davis.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Columbus Dispatch reported<\/a> that the school district later confirmed that Mandy Davis worked part-time as a teacher\u2019s aide on an \u201cas needed\u201d basis.<\/p>\n

\u201cSince this is a pending personnel matter involving a district employee, our practice is not to publicly discuss the specific facts and circumstances. However, we can confirm that Ms. Davis has been notified that her services are no longer needed by the Board of Education,\u201d a statement provided to the newspaper read. <\/p>\n

The Dispatch also requested the woman\u2019s\u00a0pay rate and a copy of her personnel file from the school district on Thursday but the information\u00a0wasn\u2019t\u00a0immediately provided, according to the outlet.<\/p>\n

She is due back in court on May 27 for another hearing on the matter.<\/p>\n

Davis\u2019 bond is $250,000,\u00a0according to Pickaway County Municipal Court. If released, Davis would be required to wear a GPS monitor.<\/p>\n
