In fact, you could call it a classic horror story \u2013 because that\u2019s what it\u2019s called,\u00a0<strong><em>A Classic Horror Story<\/em><\/strong>. The Italian film is being described (by Netflix) as <em>Midsommar<\/em> meets\u00a0<em>The Texas Chain Saw Massacre<\/em>, and that\u2019s a combination bound to get some attention. The story follows five strangers who end up in the middle of nowhere, and, as you might guess, they soon run afoul of something \u2013 or someone \u2013 malevolent. The teaser above gives a very vague synopsis \u2013 \u201cMusic for children, an abandoned house, five strangers: it looks like the classic horror movie and instead\u2026\u201d If you, like me, require some more info than that, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2021\/film\/news\/a-classic-horror-story-trailer-netflix-1234978528\/\">Variety<\/a> has a much more detailed breakdown of what\u2019s going on here:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>A Classic Horror Story<\/em> sees f<span class=\"s1\">ive carpoolers <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/trip-and-travel\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"10\" title=\"Trip &amp; Travel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">travel<\/a> in a motorhome to reach a common destination. Night falls and to avoid a dead animal carcass, they crash into a tree. When they come to their senses, they find themselves in the middle of nowhere. The road they were traveling on has dis<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>eared and there is only a dense, impenetrable forest and a wooden house in the middle of a clearing, which they discover is the home of a spine-chilling cult.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Again: I\u2019m intrigued! The cult angle certainly sounds like\u00a0<em>Midsommar<\/em>, and the \u201cfolks trapped in the middle of nowhere\u201d concept is a tried and true staple of the horror genre. All in all, <em>A Classic Horror Story<\/em> might turn out to be a pleasant surprise. I\u2019ve gone from being completely oblivious to wanting to check this out im<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a>tely, so good job, Netflix.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Roberto De Feo<\/strong> and <strong>Paolo Strippoli<\/strong> direct <em>A Classic Horror Story<\/em>, which stars\u00a0<strong>Francesco Russo<\/strong>, <strong>Peppino Mazzotta<\/strong>, <strong>Yulia Sobol<\/strong>, <strong>Will Merrick<\/strong>, <strong>Alida Baldari Calabria<\/strong>, <strong>Cristina Donadio<\/strong>, and <strong>Matilda Lutz<\/strong>, who starred in the excellent \u2013 and brutal \u2013 film\u00a0<em>Revenge<\/em>. The script is credited to\u00a0Lucio Besana, Roberto De Feo, Paolo Strippoli, Milo Tissone, and David Bellini.
