Luckily, it\u2019s possible to merely take a sip by searching for tweets from a specific date or date range. Here\u2019s how.<\/p>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Search_Tweets_from_a_Date_Range_Using_Advanced_Search\"><\/span>Search Tweets from a Date Range Using Advanced Search<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Twitter provides both a <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/mobile.twitter.com\/search-advanced\">mobile<\/a> and a\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search-advanced?lang=en\">desktop browser<\/a> Advanced Search page that lets you search for tweets posted within a certain date range. If you\u2019re on a mobile device, open your browser and visit <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/mobile.twitter.com\/search-advanced\">https:\/\/mobile.twitter.com\/search-advanced<\/a>. If you\u2019re on a desktop browser, go to <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search-advanced?lang=en\">https:\/\/twitter.com\/search-advanced?lang=en<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>On the Advanced Search page, scroll all the way down to the bottom until you see the \u201cDates\u201d section. Here\u2019s what they do:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>From:<\/strong> Set this to find tweets posted after midnight (12:00 a.m.) on this date.<\/li>\n<li><strong>To:<\/strong> Set this to find tweets posted up until midnight (12:00 a.m.) on this date.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>While this sounds simple, using the parameters can be kind of confusing. For example, if you want to find tweets only from May 1, 2014, you\u2019d set \u201cFrom\u201d to \u201cMay 1, 2014\u201d and \u201cTo\u201d to \u201cMay 2, 2014.\u201d You\u2019ll get tweets posted between midnight on May 1 until midnight on May 2. The date format is YYYY-MM-DD (Example:\u00a0<code>since:2021-05-01<\/code> ).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Until:<\/strong> Find tweets posted until 12:00 a.m. on this date. The date format is YYYY-MM-DD (Example: <code>until:2021-06-01<\/code> ).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For example, if you\u2019d like to see all tweets posted by the \u201chowtogeek\u201d Twitter account between May 1, 2020 and June 1, 2020, you\u2019d type this into the Twitter search box:<\/p>\n<pre>from:howtogeek until:2020-06-01 since:2020-05-01<\/pre>\n<p>If you wanted to find all posts about \u201cAtari\u201d by \u201cbenjedwards\u201d posted on November 2, 2020, you\u2019d type:<\/p>\n<pre>atari from:benjedwards since:2020-11-01 until:2020-11-03<\/pre>\n<p>And so on. This kind of quick inline search can be quite powerful once you wrap your mind around the date format. You can also find embarrassing old tweets and potentially delete them.
