Following the EU-besotted left, \u201cPresident Joe Biden has already sought to federalize many functions \u2014 from zoning to labor laws to education \u2014 that historically have been under local control.\u201d Yet beware: The\u00a0EU has\u00a0a \u201cremarkable record of turning Europe into the developed world\u2019s economic and technological laggard. Yes, it\u2019s \u201ca radical departure from conventional thinking.\u201d But \u201cnatural global warming\u201d after the last ice age \u201cprompted people\u201d to \u201cchange their clothes from animal hides to textiles\u201d and spawned agriculture. \u201cFitted garments offer superior protection from wind chill\u201d and allowed our ancestors to \u201cpenetrate into the frigid Arctic Circle, further north than cold-adapted Neanderthals had managed to venture,\u201d from Siberia to Alaska, where archaeologists \u201cunearthed the fragile <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/technology\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"4\" title=\"Technology\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">technology<\/a> that made the journey possible: a 13,000-year-old eyed needle.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Media_watch_The_Times_COVID-Paranoia_Push\"><\/span>Media watch: The Times\u2019 COVID-Paranoia Push<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The New York Times is pushing \u201cabsurdly cautious\u201d behavior for the vaccinated \u201cin light of the evidence showing how remarkably effective the vaccines are,\u201d <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/reason.com\/2021\/05\/19\/the-new-york-times-promotes-a-covid-cult-of-caution-that-requires-vaccinated-people-to-act-as-if-theyre-not\/\">fumes Jacob Sullum at Reason<\/a>. \u201cSome epidemiologists continue to recommend following the golden rules of coronavirus safety,\u201d the paper reports \u2014 advice that Sullum notes \u201cis based on something other than rational, context-dependent concerns about virus transmission.\u201d Masks and distancing \u201chave been transformed into rituals that signify membership in a COVID-19 cult of caution.\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/sciencee\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"5\" title=\"Science\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Science<\/a> clearly confirms \u201cthat COVID-19 vaccines are highly effective,\u201d yet the Gray Lady presents that miracle \u201cby saying vaccinated people face \u2018less risk\u2019 than unvaccinated people. Progressives are finally starting to see the GOP\u2019s point that a group of scientists shouldn\u2019t be \u201ctasked with steering a country through a pandemic\u201d because \u201cthat\u2019s what elected leaders are for.\u201d But \u201cthese people have never really been interested in \u2018following the science\u2019 anyway.\u201d It\u2019s become a \u201cclich\u00e9\u201d that we might do better to replace with \u201cfollow DeSantis,\u201d after the Florida governor, who rightly \u201cmade the determination early on that the pandemic was too big to micromanage.\u201d Now, \u201cliberals can feel their control over our lives slipping away\u201d with each passing day, and they may not like it, \u201cbut that\u2019s where \u2018the science\u2019 is taking us.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Feminist_Welcome_the_Sexual_Counterrevolution\"><\/span>Feminist: Welcome the\u00a0Sexual Counterrevolution<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>A growing cohort of young elites views sex liberationism\u00a0\u201cas toxic not just to individual well-being, but even to the long-term health of American society,\u201d <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/spectator.us\/topic\/sexual-counterrevolution-liberation\/\">cheers Mary Harrington at Spectator USA<\/a>.
