New York City Public Schools will fully reopen in September \u2014 with no remote option for students, Mayor Bill de Blasio said Monday.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s good news<\/a>: [In] New York City public schools, 1 million kids will be back in their classroom in September, all in person, no remote,\u201d hizzoner said on MSNBC\u2019s Morning Joe.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re going to be back strong, ready, safe. Covid is plummeting in this city, I\u2019m happ<\/a>y to say.\u201d<\/p>\n

The announcement finally came after de Blasio had repeatedly declined to say if public school students and parents will have a remote option in the fall.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou can\u2019t have a full recovery without full-strength schools, everyone back sitting in those classrooms, kids learning again,\u201d the mayor said.<\/p>\n
