That\u2019s nearly the same amount as in all of last year, putting 2021 on track to be one of the best years in history.<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/lipperalpha.refinitiv.com\/2021\/02\/municipal-bond-funds-and-etfs-attract-near-record-weekly-fund-flows-in-the-first-six-weeks-of-2021\/#\" class=\"icon none\">Weekly inflows have hit records<\/a> multiple times this year, Lipper data show. <\/p>\n<p>Investor interest in munis is a boon for state and local governments, many of which face a daunting backlog of big-ticket needs, from construction projects to systems modernization. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Read next: <\/strong>Washington wants to bring back Build America Bonds.
