The cable channel has announced a premiere date for the new competition series which focuses on talented home cooks. They\u2019ll be paired with previous <em>Top Chef<\/em> finalists like Eric Adjepong, Richard Blais, Jennifer Carroll, Shirley Chung, Stephanie Cmar, Tiffany Derry, Joe Flamm, Gregory Gourdet, Melissa King, Kwame Onwuachi, Dale Talde, and Isaac Toups.<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"more-118249\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Bravo revealed more about <i>Top Chef Amateurs<\/i> in a press release.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cBravo\u2019s <i>Top Chef Amateurs<\/i>, hosted by Gail Simmons, premieres on <b>Thursday, July 1 at 9PM ET\/PT<\/b> with two back-to-back episodes, immediately following the season finale of <i>Top Chef<\/i> in Portland.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 The network is set to air a special first look of <i>Top Chef Amateurs<\/i> on Thursday, May 27 at 9 PM ET\/PT.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Produced by Magical Elves, <i>Top Chef Amateurs<\/i> gives talented home cooks the opportunity of a lifetime to test their skills in the illustrious <i>Top Chef<\/i> kitchen.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 In each 30-minute episode, two amateur chefs will compete head-to-head in some of the most iconic challenges from the <i>Top Chef<\/i> archives including the mis-en-place race, blind taste test and they\u2019ll even try to break the curse of <i>Top Chef\u2019s<\/i> most dreaded dish \u2013 risotto.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Putting their kitchen skills to the test are a wide variety of amateur chefs ranging from an ex-CIA agent to a dental hygienist-turned-food-blogger as well as an architect.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 The amateur chefs will be paired with different <i>Top Chef<\/i> finalists, frontrunners and fan-favorites who will cook alongside them and help the amateurs battle against the clock.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 The All-Stars will also rotate in as guest judges alongside Gail to decide each episode\u2019s winner.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Unpacking their knives are alums Eric Adjepong, Richard Blais, Jennifer Carroll, Shirley Chung, Stephanie Cmar, Tiffany Derry, Joe Flamm, Gregory Gourdet, Melissa King, Kwame Onwuachi, Dale Talde and Isaac Toups.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 The winner of each episode will receive $5,000 furnished by season-long prizing sponsor Wells Fargo.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 <i>Top Chef Amateurs<\/i> is produced by the Emmy Award-winning production company Magical Elves with Casey Kriley, Jo Sharon, Doneen Arquines, Gayle Gawlowski, Zoe Jackson and Hillary Olsen serving as executive producers.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Check out a <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bravotv.com\/top-chef-amateurs\/videos\/your-first-look-at-top-chef-amateurs\">sneak peek<\/a> for the new competition series below.<\/p>\n<div><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/player.theplatform.com\/p\/HNK2IC\/aO3boJhesuo7\/select\/media\/guid\/2140479951\/3664534\/feed\/embed_feed?playAll=true&amp;ec=f&amp;fwsitesection=bravo_video_vod_embed_whitelist&amp;params=siteSectionId%3Dbravo_video_vod_embed&amp;isEmbedded=true\" width=\"480\" height=\"270\" frameborder=\"0\" seamless=\"seamless\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>What do you think?
