“#Suspect ID’d after exchanging gunfire with NYPD in Bronx stickup<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

Police identified the man who allegedly exchanged gunfire with officers after sticking up a Bronx cellphone store last week.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The suspect, identified by police Sunday as Calvin Peterkin, 39, allegedly got into a dispute with employees at Boost Mobile on East 174th Street near Bryant Avenue in Crotona Park East around 6:20 p.m. May 19, authorities said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

He pulled out a gun and menaced the employees, cops said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Responding cops encountered Peterkin outside the store, where he allegedly shot at them.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Two officers returned fire, but Peterkin took off and remains at large. It was unknown if he was hit by gunfire.<\/p>\n

The officers were not struck.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Peterkin has five prior arrests for robbery, assault, criminal sale of a controlled substance, forgery and theft of service in the subway, cops said.<\/p>\n
