That\u2019s because watchOS updates are currently tied to iOS updates, and you can\u2019t get them separately. For your Watch to update at night, it must be on its charger and connected to Wi-Fi. The installation will begin when the Apple Watch\u2019s battery is 50% or higher.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"admonishment_tip\"><p><strong>Tip:<\/strong> The update waits for a 50% or greater charge to ensure that the Watch doesn\u2019t accidentally lose power during an update, which could permanently mess up the Watch\u2019s built-in software.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>If you\u2019d like to update now, open Settings on your Watch, and then tap \u201cSoftware Update.\u201d Next, tap \u201cDownload and Install\u201d or \u201cInstall,\u201d and place your Apple Watch on its charger. Once it\u2019s loaded, tap the Watch that you\u2019d like to check for updates on.
