A driver hit two protesters near the Brooklyn Bridge late Tuesday \u2014 with an NYPD car sideswiping a bike rider while in pursuit, according to video and police.<\/p>\n

The 21-year-old man driving a Volkswagen sedan \u201caggressively\u201d tried to force his way through a large group \u2014 out to mark the anniversary of George Floyd\u2019s murder by a former Minneapolis cop \u2014 holding up traffic on the Brooklyn side of the bridge, the NYPD said.<\/p>\n

One of the protesters leaped on the man\u2019s car, and he drove off with the person still clinging on top \u2014 hitting another in the group as he sped away, according to the cops.<\/p>\n

Video footage shows cyclists screaming and yelling abuse at an NYPD vehicle trying to then get past them \u2014 with the cop car\u2019s mirror clipping another cyclist as it drove off in pursuit of the sedan, the NYPD said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat the f\u2013k is going on,\u201d the man filming the crash says.<\/p>\n

The cyclist hit by the NYPD car immedia<\/a>tely got up as other protesters rushed to help.<\/p>\n

The three people hit \u2014 all men \u2014 refused medical attention at the scene, police said.<\/p>\n

The VW driver, who has not been identified, was eventually arrested and charges are pending, police said.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
