And when the winds of woke start to blow, millions of Americans find that there is one way left for them to oppose political correctness: pulling the lever for the man in the White House.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Urban_Beat_The_Black_Lives_They_Ignore\"><\/span>Urban Beat: The Black Lives They Ignore<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>\u201cAs street violence spikes in big cities across America,\u201d writes The Chicago Tribune\u2019s John Koss, it\u2019s becoming clear that Black Lives Matter is a mere \u201cpolitical and fundraising arm\u201d of the Democratic Party, not the civil-rights movement it claims to be, and its largely \u201cyoung, white and woke\u201d supporters can\u2019t work up much concern about \u201cblack children being slaughtered\u201d in big-city gang wars. Indeed, even while protesters are \u201cshouting loudly and passionately about defunding or abolishing the police,\u201d they aren\u2019t saying a word to pressure \u201cbig-city Democratic\u201d mayors to do anything about \u201cthe spiking urban violence\u201d \u2014 probably because they live \u201cseveral degrees removed\u201d from the killings and \u201csee no political advantage for the November elections\u201d in drawing attention to them. \u201cThat\u2019s not cynicism,\u201d sadly. \u201cThat\u2019s reality.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Culture_critic_Socialists_With_Daddy_Issues\"><\/span>Culture critic: Socialists With Daddy Issues<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Much of modern social protest is \u201cpsychological and spiritual need dressed up as revolution,\u201d Mark Judge argues at The Stream. Because many young people don\u2019t have a grounding principle like religious faith in their lives, they\u2019re \u201ceasy prey for toxic ideologies,\u201d such as Marxism. That\u2019s nothing new: For many believers, \u201cCommunism became like a \u00adfather,\u201d providing both \u201clove and acceptance\u201d and \u201ca \u2018totalizing\u2019 solution\u201d to all the world\u2019s (and each person\u2019s) problems. And like their 1960s predecessors, many antifa rioters are really \u201cout there looking for their \u00adfathers\u201d after coming from broken homes. All of these \u201cbroken souls\u201d share the \u201csame distant, soulless nihilism\u201d \u2014 and rather than taking up the \u201cdifficult task\u201d of \u201cmaking themselves more whole,\u201d they latch on to radical movements.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Iconoclast_Cheers_for_Kanye_Traditionalism\"><\/span>Iconoclast: Cheers for Kanye Traditionalism<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Kanye West\u2019s recent pledge to remove extraneous chemicals from deodorant \u201cmakes me like America\u2019s last rock star even more than I did before he announced last Saturday that he was going ahead with his presidential campaign,\u201d half-jokes The Week\u2019s Matthew Walther. \u201cWould anyone really expect, much less want,\u201d Kanye to \u201crun on lower taxes and block-granting Medicare to the states?\u201d Kudos, too, for his unabashed pro-life stance: \u201cAt a time when social conservatism is mostly an unedifying <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">series<\/a> of non-debates about the flag and kneeling,\u201d the r<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>er \u201csounds like Pat Buchanan in 1992, arguing for prayer in public schools and insisting that \u2018We have to stop doing things that make God mad.\u2019\u200a\u201d And he sounds more genuine than more conventional conservatives. What\u2019s not to like?<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Health_desk_Killer_COVID_Lockdowns\"><\/span>Health desk: Killer COVID Lockdowns<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>With COVID resurging, warns Dr. Joel Zinberg at City Journal, \u201cwe must acknowledge\u201d data showing that lockdowns themselves \u201ccontributed to the death toll.\u201d If we don\u2019t learn from this, doctors will need \u201ca new cause of death on death certificates \u2014 \u2018public policy.\u2019\u200a\u201d Economic recession led to \u201cincreased drug and alcohol abuse and increases in domestic abuse and suicides.\u201d Meanwhile, inpatient admissions in Veterans Administration hospitals \u201cwere down 42 percent for six emergency conditions,\u201d including stroke, heart failure and appendicitis, during one six-week period during the pandemic, a change not seen last year.
