{"id":259826,"date":"2021-05-27T00:25:27","date_gmt":"2021-05-26T21:25:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.buradabiliyorum.com\/lockheed-martin-had-white-male-privilege-training-report\/"},"modified":"2021-05-27T00:25:27","modified_gmt":"2021-05-26T21:25:27","slug":"lockheed-martin-had-white-male-privilege-training-report","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/lockheed-martin-had-white-male-privilege-training-report\/","title":{"rendered":"#Lockheed Martin had &#8216;white male privilege&#8217; training: report"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;<strong>#Lockheed Martin had &#8216;white male privilege&#8217; training: report<\/strong>&#8221;<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>America\u2019s largest defense contractor reportedly made 13 top executives participate in a three-day \u201cWhite Men\u2019s Caucus\u201d that involved discussions of \u201cwhite male privilege\u201d and other pro-diversity training.<\/p>\n<p>The participants from Lockheed Martin engaged in activities over Zoom that included a \u201cfree association\u201d exercise in which the term \u201cwhite men\u201d was equated to \u201cold,\u201d \u201cracist,\u201d \u201cprivileged,\u201d \u201canti-women,\u201d \u201cangry,\u201d \u201cAryan Nation\u201d and \u201cKKK,\u201d the <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.city-journal.org\/lockheed-martins-woke-industrial-complex\">City Journal reported<\/a> Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>That session reportedly led to conclusions that white men \u201cdon\u2019t care about diversity,\u201d \u201chave a classical perspective on history and colonialism,\u201d and \u201cdon\u2019t want to give away our power.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In another exercise, referred to as \u201chearts and minds\u201d training, the Lockheed executives were given 156 various \u201cprivilege statements\u201d to read and discuss, according to City Journal, which is published by the conservative Manhattan Institute think tank.<\/p>\n<p>The statements reportedly included, \u201cMy culture teaches me to minimize the perspectives and powers of people of other races,\u201d \u201cI can commit acts of terrorism, violence or crime and not have it attributed to my race,\u201d \u201cMy earning potential is 15-33% higher than a woman\u2019s\u201d and \u201cMy reproductive organs are not seen as the property of other men, the government, and\/or even strangers because of my gender.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Another workshop session involved the reading of \u201cI\u2019m tired\u201d statements from what City Journal described as \u201cfictitious racial minorities and women.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Those statements reportedly included, \u201cI\u2019m tired of you making more money than me,\u201d \u201cI\u2019m tired of people disparaging our campaigns (like Black Lives Matter),\u201d \u201cI\u2019m tired of Black boys\/girls being murdered\u201d and \u201cI\u2019m tired of people thinking they\u2019re smarter and more qualified than me\u201d; \u201cI\u2019m tired of hearing about how we need a wall at the southern borders but not on the northern borders\u201d; \u201cI\u2019m tired of the desire or comment to remove race\u2014the concept that we should be \u2018colorblind.\u2019 \u201d<\/p>\n<p>The training program took place June 8-11, according to documents <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/christopherrufo.com\/the-woke-industrial-complex\/\">posted online<\/a> by the article\u2019s author Christopher Rufo.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\" alt=\"The defense contractor executives had to participate in activities like discussing &quot;white male privilege.&quot;\" class=\"wp-image-18352873 lazyload\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/05\/lockheed-martin-001.jpg?quality=90&amp;strip=all&amp;w=300 300w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/05\/lockheed-martin-001.jpg?quality=90&amp;strip=all&amp;w=640 640w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/05\/lockheed-martin-001.jpg?quality=90&amp;strip=all&amp;w=1280 1280w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/05\/lockheed-martin-001.jpg?quality=90&amp;strip=all&amp;w=1024 1024w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/05\/lockheed-martin-001.jpg?quality=90&amp;strip=all&amp;w=2000 2000w\" data-sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 1024px\"\/><figcaption>Some of the company\u2019s higher-ups also participated in the seminar.<\/figcaption><figcaption><span class=\"credit\">Denver Post via Getty Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The Lockheed execs who took part reportedly included director of global supply chain operations Aaron Huckaby; retired Air Force Lt. Col. David Starr, director of Lockheed\u2019s Hercules C-130 military transport program; and retired Air Force Lt. Gen. Bruce Litchfield, vice president of sustainment operations.<\/p>\n<p>The program was reportedly run by White Men as Full Diversity Partners, which was founded in 1999 and is based in Portland, Ore.<\/p>\n<p>The firm specializes in a \u201cprovocative <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>roach to engaging white male business leaders in inclusion efforts\u201d that help them \u201cchallenge their mindsets, grow courageously and build culturally competent leadership teams,\u201d <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/wmfdp.com\/\">according to its website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>WMFDP says its clients include such household names as AT&amp;T, Coca-Cola, Dell, Exxon-Mobile and NASA.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement, a Lockheed spokesperson said the company \u201chas robust employee training programs focused on our core values of doing what is right, respecting others and performing with excellence.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLike many corporations, we employ multiple vendors and continuously evaluate the effectiveness of training programs to ensure they are aligned with our values, applicable laws and regulations, and incorporate employee feedback and best practices,\u201d the statement added.<\/p>\n<p>Lockheed didn\u2019t respond when asked how much it spent on the WMFDP training workshop.<\/p>\n<p>A WMFDP spokesperson said the City Journal report was \u201cbased on factual misrepresentations and a fundamental misunderstanding of the nature of diversity, equity and inclusion work,\u201d but didn\u2019t elaborate.\n            <\/p><\/div>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
