Square Enix has announced Dragon Quest X Offline<\/em>. It will launch in 2022 in Japan. Platforms were not announced. <\/span><\/p>\n

Here is a message from producer Takumi Shiraishi:<\/p>\n

As you might have guessed from the title, this is a new version of the game<\/a> that you don\u2019t need an internet connection to play.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re looking to create an easy-to-pick-up, easy-to-play standalone version of Dragon Quest X<\/em>\u2014and as you saw in the promotional video, one with a completely different version style to its online cousin.<\/p>\n

With these super-deformed, pixel art visuals, we\u2019re aiming for a style that\u2019s as nostalgic as it is charming.<\/p>\n

And of course, it isn\u2019t only the visuals that have changed, but I\u2019ll save the full details for a future announcement.<\/p>\n

As for when we plan to release the game in Japan, all of our team is working as hard as they can to get it to you as ealy as possible in 2022. I hope you\u2019re excited about it as we are. Bye for now!<\/p>\n
