Is this sad news? Certainly, but not necessarily surprising. The ratings for the first season left a lot to be desired, and it\u2019s likely that it wasn\u2019t making up the deficiency enough in DVR or streaming numbers.<\/p>\n<p>The unfortunate thing here is that, of course, there is so much more story to tell \u2014 also, there are probably a lot of people out there who would have enjoyed\u00a0<em>Debris\u00a0<\/em>but did not get an opportunity to check it out. A lot of them probably did not know that it even existed. Remember that there are just\u00a0<em>so\u00a0<\/em>many shows on the air right now and with that, it\u2019s hard to keep up!<\/p>\n<p>So is it possible that the series could find new life elsewhere? In theory yes, given that there are some other places that would feel like the right fit. Syfy, for example, desperately needs more scripted programming \u2026 but the downside there is that they have a tendency to cancel a number of shows, as well. Another possibility here is Peacock itself, but why wouldn\u2019t NBC just move it over there rather than announce a cancellation?<\/p>\n<p>With\u00a0<em>Debris\u00a0<\/em>now over, there\u2019s a smaller list of shows we\u2019re still waiting for some sort of official word on. Take, for example,\u00a0<em>Manifest, Good Girls,\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0<em>Zoey\u2019s Extraordinary Playlist.\u00a0<\/em>Of the three, we\u2019re the most confident that\u00a0<em>Manifest\u00a0<\/em>returns for more episodes.\u00a0<em>Zoey\u2019s Playlist\u00a0<\/em>feels like a perfect show to migrate over at Peacock, while there has been a push among some\u00a0<em>Good Girls\u00a0<\/em>fans to get it over on Netflix.
