The price of the coin crashed by more than 50% since the official statement, according to <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/tr.tradingview.com\/symbols\/DBIXUSD\/\">data<\/a> from TradingView. <\/p>\n<p>The now-defunct website of Dubai Coin claims that it\u2019s a project powered by ArabianChain <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/technology\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"4\" title=\"Technology\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Technology<\/a>, a public blockchain developed in the region. ArabianChain was quick to\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/arabianchain\/status\/1397477412083060737\">announce<\/a>,\u00a0one day prior to the officials, that the Dubai Coin website is not related to the company. They also called the project website a scam. <\/p>\n<p>According to the ArabianChain website, DBIX is the native digital currency of the platform. But it\u2019s not related to Dubai Coin. &#8220;DBIX is the fuel of Arabianchain and the first minable digital currency in the region,&#8221; the official description reads.<\/p>\n<p>A now-removed press release about the Dubai Coin claims that its \u201cbeen launched by Dubai, and is set to become the city\u2019s de-facto digital currency.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Dubai is known for its positive attitude towards blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies.
