If that was the pitch in and of itself,\u00a0<strong><em>Annette<\/em><\/strong> would already be at the top of must-watch films coming out of the Cannes Film Festival. But throw <strong>Sparks<\/strong>, the pop\/rock band recently profiled in Edgar Wright\u2019s first documentary feature <em>The Sparks Brothers<\/em>, into the mix alongside director\u00a0<strong>Leos Carax<\/strong>, and you\u2019ve got a recipe for something magical. We get a first taste of that magic in Sparks\u2019 \u201cSo May We Start\u201d single, which features Driver and Cotillard singing together in an upbeat rock song.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Annette_Single_So_May_We_Start\"><\/span>Annette Single:\u00a0So May We Start<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Sparks, Adam Driver, Marion Cotillard - So May We Start | From &quot;Annette&quot; ft. They\u2019re a h<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>y celebrity couple, living life in the glare of the spotlight, but their world is turned upside-down by the birth of their first child, Annette, a mysterious little girl with an exceptional destiny.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><em>Annette<\/em>\u00a0is an odd experiment first conceived as a Sparks studio album, which eventually became a feature film after the musicians discussed the story with director Leos Carax at 2013\u2019s Cannes Film Festival. The film\u2019s entire soundtrack is composed and performed by Sparks, with Carax co-writing, with the cast featuring as additional voices.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cInitially, we conceived\u00a0<em>Annette<\/em>\u00a0as another Sparks album,\u201d Sparks said in a statement. \u201cYet this time it would be a narrative story that would consist of three main characters, a small enough ensemble that would allow us to also present the \u2018opera\u2019 live on tour\u2026 The music, story and album were finished and ready to go, which is where the story takes a huge detour. After meeting Leos at Cannes, we felt a real kinship, so we thought we would send him\u00a0<em>Annette<\/em>, not expecting anything other than to show him what Sparks was currently up to.\u00a0And lo and behold, he said he really liked the album and would like to consider it as his next project.\u00a0We were happily surprised and elated at his reaction. As fans of Leos\u2019 films, to now realize that he would be directing a film of ours was beyond our dreams.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Added Carax, \u201cI discovered Sparks when I was about 14 \u2013 I stole a copy of\u00a0<em>Propaganda<\/em>\u00a0from an underground shop at La D\u00e9fense because I liked the cover.\u00a0Not long after that I saw them live at the Olympia in Paris.\u00a0<em>Propaganda<\/em>\u00a0and their next album,\u00a0<em>Indiscreet<\/em>, have been part of my life ever since. Their tracks are among the most joyous songs I know (although they\u2019re poignant too, in places).\u00a0For me, Sparks\u2019 music is like a childhood home, but one free of ghosts.
