Texas rapper Lil Loaded died Monday \u2014 just days after his hit 2019 song \u201c6locc 6a6y\u201d was certified gold, according to a report. He was 20.<\/p>\n

No cause and manner of death was given for the Dallas-based hip-hop artist, whose legal name was Dashawn Robertson, the Dallas Morning News reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n

An attorney for Robertson, Ashkan Mehryari, told the news<\/a>paper that his client\u2019s death was \u201cvery tragic\u201d and unexpected.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe had a very bright and promising music career ahead of him,\u201d Mehryari said.<\/p>\n

According to hip-hop magazine XXL<\/a>, Robertson, in his last Instagram story, had posted a message that read in part, \u201cDear most high, please forgive me for my shortcomings and all of the times I\u2019ve fell short of making you proud and being appreciative of the blessings that have been put in my life.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI ask for entrance into your kingdom thru all of my mistakes. I know you love all your children, and I\u2019m ready for my heart and soul to join you.\u201d<\/p>\n

Robertson had been due in court on Tuesday for a hearing in a manslaughter case stemming from the October 2020 shooting of his best friend,\u00a018-year-old Khalil Walker.<\/p>\n

Mehryari told the Dallas Morning News that the hearing had not been weighing on Robertson, who was free on bond. He said his client was innocent of the charge.<\/p>\n

The musician signed with Epic Records after \u201c6locc 6a6y\u201d<\/a>\u00a0went viral on YouTube<\/a> in summer 2019. The song\u00a0was certified gold\u00a0by the Recording Industry Association of America\u00a0last week.\n <\/div>\n
