The Gundam.info portal has revealed that the <\/span>Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway<\/span><\/i> film is now rescheduled for a June 11 opening this year. Originally meant to premiere in July 2020, the film has been hit by several delays, with <\/span>the most recent delay<\/span> as a result of the extension of Japan\u2019s state of emergency due to COVID-19.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway<\/span><\/i> previously<\/span> received its <\/span>second main trailer<\/span> in late March, while its <\/span>first main trailer<\/span> was released in January. The second trailer previewed the theme<\/a> song \u201cSenk<\/span>\u014d<\/span>\u201d (\u201cFlash\u201d) by Alexandros. The movie was announced in 2018 as part of the <\/span>Gundam series\u2019 40th Anniversary Project<\/span><\/a> and as the first installment of a trilogy. The movie is based on the <\/span>Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway\u2019s Flash<\/span><\/i> novel series<\/a> by Gundam creator Yoshiyuki Tomino, which began in 1989.The story centers on Hathaway Noa, the son of Londo Bell commander Bright Noa, who has become the leader of an anti-Earth Federation organization called Mafty after the events of <\/span>Mobile Suit Gundam:<\/span><\/i> Char\u2019s Counterattack<\/span><\/i>.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Sunrise is in charge of the planning and production for <\/span>Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway<\/span><\/i>. The staff includes Sh\u016bk\u014d Murase (<\/span>Genocidal Organ<\/span><\/i>) as director, Yasuyuki Mut\u014d (<\/span>Gundam Build Divers Re:Rise<\/span><\/i>) as scriptwriter, Takako Suzuki (<\/span>Mobile Suit<\/span><\/i> Gundam Narrative<\/span><\/i>) as color designer, Kentaro Waki (<\/span>SWORD ART ONLINE<\/span><\/i> \u2013<\/span>Alicization<\/span><\/i>\u2013 <\/span>War of Underworld<\/span><\/i>) as photography director, and Hiroyuki Sawano as music composer (<\/span>Attack on Titan Final Season<\/span><\/i>).\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Pablo Uchida (<\/span>Gundam Reconguista in G<\/span><\/i> design works), Naoyuki Onda (<\/span>Psycho Pass 3 <\/span><\/i>character designer and chief animation director), and Shigeki Kuhara (<\/span>Rage of Bahamut: Virgin Soul<\/span><\/i> animation director) are designing the characters based on drafts by Haruhiko Mikimoto (<\/span>Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress<\/span><\/i>).\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Other staff include Hajime Katoki (<\/span>Mobile Suit Gundam Narrative<\/span><\/i>), Mitoshi Yamaneki (<\/span>Gundam Reconguista in G<\/span><\/i>), Seiichi Nakatani (<\/span>Gundam Reconguista in G<\/span><\/i> design works), and Nobuhiko Genma (various roles in <\/span>Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn<\/span><\/i>) are in charge of the mechanical designs, based on drafts by Yasuhiro Moriki <\/span>(Gundam Build Divers Re:Rise<\/span><\/i> mechanical designer). Takayuki Masuo (<\/span>Genocial Organ<\/span><\/i>) and Tomohiro Fujie (<\/span>Mobile Suit<\/span><\/i> Gundam Narrative<\/span><\/i>) are the 3D directors.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

For the movie\u2019s cast, it includes Kensh\u014d Ono as Hathaway Noa, Reina Ueda as Gigi Andalucia, Junichi Suwabe as Kenneth Sleg, and S\u014dma Sait\u014d as Lane Aim.<\/span><\/p>\n\n
