The Star Wars<\/em> Universe is expanding by one more animated show as Disney announced its latest series Star Wars: The Bad Batch<\/em>.<\/p>\n

From Lucasfilm, this series will arrive in 2021 following the successful run of the critically-acclaimed final season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars <\/em>which was revived by the streaming platform after six years off-air.<\/p>\n

Following the elite and experimental clones of the Bad Batch which were first introduced in The Clone Wars<\/em>, this new show sees them find their way in a rapidly changing galaxy following the aftermath of the Clone War. Described as a unique squad of clones who vary genetically from their Clone Army brothers, members of Bad Batch each possess a singular exceptional skill which makes them effective soldiers and strong crew.Living in the post-Clone War days, they’ll take on mercenary missions throughout the galaxy as they attempt to find a new purpose in their existence.<\/p>\n

The series will be executive produced by Dave Filoni who has worked on both The Mandalorian<\/em> and The Clone Wars<\/em>. He’s joined by Athena Portillo (The Clone Wars<\/em>, Star Wars Rebels<\/em>), Brad Rau (Star Wars Rebels<\/em>, Star Wars Resistance<\/em>), and Jennifer Corbett (Star Wars Resistance<\/em>).<\/p>\n

Carrie Beck (The Mandalorian<\/em>, Star Wars Rebels<\/em>) will serve as a co-executive producer and Josh Rimes (Star Wars Resistance<\/em>) serves as a producer. Rau will serve as supervising director alongside Corbett who is head writer on the project.<\/p>\n
